In vanilla Minecraft, mining, farming, hunting, and building are just survival tasks. Jobs & Careers turns those same activities into a paid career system for multiplayer servers. Players choose a profession, complete real in-game work, earn XP, level up for bigger payouts, and get paid directly into their Universal Shop balance — the same money they use at /shop, /sell, and /ah.
There is no separate wallet, no coupon items, and no manual "cash out" button. Break an iron ore as a Miner and your balance goes up immediately. Spend that money seconds later in the server shop.
This mod is built for economy servers, SMP communities, and roleplay worlds where players need a reason to specialize, grind, and stay active beyond basic survival.
What can players actually do?
Pick a legal career with /jobs
Players hold one job at a time and get rewarded for doing that job's work:
- Miner — Break ores like coal, iron, gold, and diamond
- Farmer — Harvest fully grown crops
- Hunter — Kill hostile mobs for higher pay, passive animals for smaller pay
- Fisherman — Catch fish and fishing loot
- Lumberjack — Chop trees and logs
- Builder — Place blocks and get paid for construction
- Explorer — Discover new chunks by traveling the map
Example: A player runs /jobs join farmer, harvests their wheat field, levels up to Farmer Level 3, then checks /shop balance to buy tools with the money they earned.
Level up for higher pay
Every job has XP and levels. Higher level = bigger payouts per action. A live HUD bar at the top of the screen shows job name, level, and XP progress while playing.
