Jobs+ Dynamic Trees Integration

Jobs+ Dynamic Trees Integration

Jobs+ Dynamic Trees Integration fixes Lumberjack experience rewards when using Jobs+ together with Dynamic Trees.

Normally, Jobs+ detects only the first branch block broken by the player. Dynamic Trees then removes the rest of the tree automatically, causing Jobs+ to award XP for only one block.

This integration makes Jobs+ reward the player for the entire tree.

How does it work?

When a player cuts down a Dynamic Trees tree, the mod:

  • Detects the complete Dynamic Trees tree
  • Calculates the expected number of logs
  • Prevents the normal single-block Jobs+ reward
  • Applies the original Jobs+ Lumberjack reward once for every expected log
  • Ensures that the same tree is rewarded only once

Example:

Expected tree yield: 10 logs
Jobs+ reward: 2–4 XP per log
Result: 10 standard Jobs+ reward calculations

The mod does not introduce a separate XP value. All experience values, random ranges, conditions and profession bonuses continue to come directly from Jobs+ and its datapacks.

Changing the Lumberjack reward in Jobs+ will therefore automatically affect Dynamic Trees.

Features

  • Rewards Lumberjack XP for the complete Dynamic Trees tree
  • Uses Dynamic Trees’ own expected log calculation
  • Preserves the original Jobs+ XP range
  • Supports Jobs+ profession bonuses and multipliers
  • Respects Jobs+ datapack conditions
  • Prevents duplicate rewards
  • No per-species configuration required
  • Jade is not required

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge
  • Jobs+ 9.x
  • Dynamic Trees 1.7.2 or newer
  • Architectury API 13.x
  • Dependencies required by Jobs+

Install the mod on both the server and client.

Compatibility

The mod was created for:

Minecraft: 1.21.1
NeoForge: 21.1.x
Jobs+: 9.0.0
Dynamic Trees: 1.7.2

Dynamic Trees Plus and additional tree packs should work as long as they use the standard Dynamic Trees species and branch systems.

Configuration

No additional configuration is required.

Experience balance remains controlled by the Jobs+ Lumberjack action:

data/jobsplus/arc/lumberjack/break_wood.json

You can modify this action through a datapack to change the minimum and maximum XP awarded per expected log.

Notes

  • Only trees cut down directly by a player are rewarded.
  • Trees destroyed by explosions or other non-player methods do not grant additional XP.
  • The calculated reward is based on the number of logs Dynamic Trees expects the tree to produce.
  • Tool enchantments used by Dynamic Trees’ drop calculation may affect the predicted yield.
