J3v’s Stamina adds configurable stamina for sprinting and jumping. Walk or stand still to recover, and track your stamina with lightning bolts or a compact bar. Mining and melee attacks don't drain stamina.

Take a breather

Sprinting and jumping consume stamina, with an extra cost for sprint jumping. When you’re completely exhausted, you’ll need to recover some stamina before sprinting again. Holding the sprint key won’t bypass exhaustion.

You can recover while standing or walking, with configurable recovery rates for each. The HUD can also hide when your stamina is full.

A HUD that fits

The lightning-bolt icons sit above the hunger bar. With HUD compatibility enabled, their position adjusts to accommodate supported thirst and temperature displays, as well as Minecraft’s air bubbles.

Prefer a simpler look? You can switch to a bar display instead.

Optional Integrations

J3v’s Stamina works on its own. Install these mods to enable additional features:

• TaCZ: Holding a gun can increase stamina costs based on its category and weight. You can tune the multipliers or set overrides for individual guns. Shooting doesn't drain stamina.
  
  
• Thirst Was Taken: Low thirst can increase stamina costs and slow recovery. The default threshold is 3 thirst icons (6 points). If you want sprinting to stay available while dehydrated, turn off Thirst Was Taken’s low-thirst sprint restriction.
  
  
• Cold Sweat: Extreme body temperatures can increase stamina costs and slow recovery. You can adjust the temperature thresholds and penalty strength.

Each gameplay integration can be enabled or disabled independently. None of these mods are required.

Make it fit your pack

Customize the stamina system through the configuration file:

• Stamina: Maximum capacity, sprint cost, jump cost, and sprint-jump multiplier.
• Recovery: Standing and walking recovery rates, recovery delay, and the threshold for sprinting again after exhaustion.
• Integrations: Gun multipliers, individual gun overrides, thirst thresholds, and temperature penalties.
• HUD: Position, icon or bar display, and whether to hide it when full.

Configuration

Settings are stored in:

config/j3vs-stamina.properties

Restart Minecraft or your server after making changes. Servers control gameplay settings, while players can customize their own HUD.

Install J3v’s Stamina on both the client and server when playing multiplayer.

Modpacks & Permissions

You’re welcome to include J3v’s Stamina in your modpack, no need to ask!

You may include the unmodified mod, customize and distribute its configuration files, and create resource packs that change its appearance.

You may also create and distribute separate addons, configuration tools, and compatibility mods that work with J3v’s Stamina, provided they do not include copied code or assets from this mod.

Standalone reuploads of the mod and distribution of modified mod JARs require permission.
