Hardstone is a dyable building block that can be crafted into stairs, slabs or bricks using the stonecutter. It has high blast resistance and a hardness of -1. It is meant to protect your creations in lan games while giving you the decorative flexibility of concrete or bricks. With the exclusion of JackSepticEye's Magic Potato, the rest of the features in this mod are either meant to answer the question: "What if I misplace a hardstone block?" or expand upon other featuers within this mod. Nicestone and Badstone answer the question with a "just don't use Hardstone" answer. They are decoratively the same as hardstone but have positive hardness values.

If you want to build with hardstone anyways, Beer Gems are the first step towards breaking hardstone when you make mistakes. They are a custom ore most commonly found in the new Castle Zone Biome. Villager Tears are the second step towards breaking hardstone. They can only be acquired by trading with Bartenders, which are a new Villager Variant Mob that no longer look like squidwards. ( Some players have expressed a desire to have villagers but not squidward villagers, so I made them look different. ) Bartenders can be found in Castle Zone Biomes, along with the occasional Bartender Castle Town. When you have Beer Gems and a Villager Tear you can craft a Misery Pickaxe: the only pickaxe capable of breaking Hardstone. Be careful though, it only has 5 durability. With these core features Hardstone can be used to decorate your creations and protect them from other players in survival mode without having ugly misplaced bedrock strength blocks cluttering your world.

Dyable Gems, Dukker's Beer, and Basch's Beer are an expansion on the Beer Gems. The Dyable Gems are crafted from Beer Gems and are used to craft Diamond Strength Armor and Tools that are any of the 16 primary minecraft colors recycling old iron tools and adding a reason to actually craft leather armor in the process. Basch's Beer and Dukker's Beer are crafted from potions using Beer Gems in a crafting table. They can be used as a way of recycling failed potions you no longer want, if you make mistakes brewing. Dukker's Beer can be consumed as a substitute for food. Basch's Beer has a minor Undying effect if kept in the inventory. (Not Off Hand) Drinking a beer causes you to make a roll to avoid intoxication. On critical failures a negative potion effect will be applied to the stack before you finish drinking it. Basch's Beer uses a d20 for the roll. Dukker's Beer, being a higher alcohol per volume, uses a d6. (ie. 1 in 20 chance versus 1 in 6 chance of rolling a 1) The negative effects of a Dukker's beer can kill you, if you are not careful. Basch's Beer is meant to be safer but can still be dangerous if misused. The Beer Legend enchantment expands upon the idea of having to roll to avoid intoxication when drinking beers. It is an enchantment for leggings that causes you to re-roll your first critical failure, each time you drink a beer.

The Scythe expands on the Beer Gem - Villager Tear combination to add another recipe that uses these two materials. It can be used as weapon or a farming instrument. When you use it for farming (Harvesting crops like you would with your bare hands in vanilla, but having the scythe equipped), the Scythe's durability does not decrease and you gain a very small amount of experience. This experience reaping capability is further expanded upon with the Angel and Leech enchantments. Using either enchantment will allow you to reap health from a fully healed player for experience. (ie. A player gains experience and another player loses health) The Leech enchantment is the selfish variant: reaping life from other players and gaining experience for yourself. The Angel enchantment is the selfless variant: reaping your own life and sharing experience with other players.

Note: Leech and Angel enchantments are not for pvp. You don't need to actually use the enchanted tool on another player for the effect. It is enough to simply have another player in the game with you.

JackSepticEye's Magic Potato is the only unrelated feature of this mod. It is a way to recycle poisonous potatoes for a Baked Potato equivalent item. It may be cursed, depending on your world's seed. It is very rare but If you experience a negative effect from it you will always experience that effect each time you eat a Magic Potato, in that world. Likewise, if you eat the Magic Potato and have no negative effects you will never have negative Magic Potato effects in that world.
