Release 1.16.5-1.0.2

After several months of anticipation, Release 1.0.2 is finally here! There are several new blocks, as well as many improvements to existing blocks including new models and textures. Support for 1.12.2 has been added with this release as well, making ItemOverflow accessible to legacy players and older worlds!

New Blocks Since 1.16.5-1.0.1:

  • Large Fluorescent Lamp (centered, 2 blocks wide, for odd ceilings)
  • 2-Block Large Fluorescent Lamp (Half Block, for even ceilings)
  • Low-Profile Light Fixture
  • Surface-Mount Light Fixture
  • Troffer Lights (single and double)
  • Smoke Alarm
  • Thermostat
  • Retro Computer
  • Large TV
  • Microwave Oven
  • Industrial Lantern
  • High Pressure Sodium Light Fixture
  • Laptop
  • CRT TV
  • Display Phone
  • Combined Modem/Router
  • Macintosh Classic
  • Retro Dial-Up Modem
  • Xbox One S
  • Small Cell Antenna

Changed Blocks:

  • Updated modem and router textures
  • Pull Station can now be pulled
  • Fire Alarm can now sound when powered
  • Air Conditioner makes a sound when right clicked
  • Fire Alarm model is now larger
  • Updated texture for AV receiver
  • Updated texture for Steel Pole
  • Stove now has legs to increase the height
  • Fire Alarm now has a glass strobe texture (helps avoid texture bugs with translucent objects)
  • Updated keyboard model for Computer Setup
  • Outdoor Outlet model updated
  • Outlet model/texture improvement

Misc Changes:

  • mmWave antenna removed
  • Keyboard removed - now part of combined model
  • Mouse removed - now part of combined model
  • New logo file
  • Simplified bouncing boxes (block hitboxes) to help with mod performance. Complex hitboxes require more math and system resources to process, which can lead to lag.

Changes to come: ItemOverflow will eventually be released for Forge 1.20.1, alongside the existing 1.12.2 and 1.16.5 versions. This will hopefully allow more people to enjoy this mod with their existing worlds.

I plan on adding much more AV equipment in the next release, so keep an eye out for beta releases if you enjoy technology props! 1.0.3 may take a long time to release since I work on this project on a "when i feel like it" basis. Beta versions will release more frequently. All beta releases are stable, so feel free to check out new additions prior to the full release!
