About ItemNotes

ItemNotes is a client-side Minecraft mod that allows you to attach private notes to specific items and display them directly inside item tooltips.

Here’s what it looks like:

It helps you distinguish similar-looking items by using visible item data, stable identifiers when available, and local tracking history.

Useful for

Custom tools
Teleport sticks
Kit items
Named gear
Shulker boxes
Items with similar names or appearances
Multiplayer servers with many custom items

Privacy

All notes are stored locally on your client.

They are not sent to the server, and other players cannot see them.
