Original 1.4.0 Description

Item Attributes is a Forge 1.20.1 item-upgrade mod that lets players turn normal weapons and gear into custom powerful items. Most direct item editing is admin-only through /itemattr commands, while survival players can use the upgrade menu, particle toggles, godly pressure toggles, and Truth Seeking Orb toggles when they are holding the correct flux core item.

The mod can modify attack damage, attack speed, attack range, armor, held effects, armor effects, hit effects, and flux cores. Items can gain special combat identities through flux cores, each with its own rarity and powers. The original version is the OP version: it keeps the full-strength effects, high true damage, large area abilities, faster GOD FATHER orb attacks, and full power godly pressure.

Flux cores include Everchosen, Juggernaut, Angelic, Reaper, Celestial, Primordial, and GOD FATHER. The rarest cores have major visual and gameplay powers. Celestial gives cosmic wings, fast flight, damage phasing, time stop, Divide, regeneration and resistance, and celestial godly pressure. Primordial gives red-black wings, fast flight, undead mobs ignoring the player, Primordial Rage scaling true damage per kill, Demonic Claw, Draconic Shockwave, and primordial visuals. GOD FATHER is the final 0.01% core with golden wings, halo, divine day aura, god vision, Truth Seeking Orbs, adaptation to damage types, Almighty Slash, Almighty Push, and a server-wide one-item limit.

The original GOD FATHER version is intentionally extreme. Truth Seeking Orbs fire every 0.1 seconds, GOD FATHER hits deal 3x true damage, Almighty Slash deals 3000 true damage with no cooldown, Almighty Push deals 10000 true damage with no cooldown, and the GOD FATHER item can force daytime while held. GOD FATHER adaptation learns damage types over time and can fully nullify normal damage types; true damage adapts up to 75% reduction. If void damage is fully adapted, /kill-style damage is blocked too.

The mod also includes server control commands. Admins can block or unblock flux cores from survival rolls, force-set flux cores, and force-reset GOD FATHER using /itemattr forcerest godfather, which deletes loaded GOD FATHER stacks and unlocks the server so a new GOD FATHER can exist. Players can also toggle specific visuals like wings, sparks, halo, godly pressure particles, Truth Seeking Orb particles, and Truth Seeking Orb attacks.

Balanced 1.4.0 Description

Item Attributes Balanced is the lower-power version of the same Forge 1.20.1 mod. It has the same systems, commands, menu, flux cores, GOD FATHER limit, particle toggles, and survival/admin rules, but the combat numbers and passive effects are reduced to make the mod easier to use in a long-term survival world.

The balanced version keeps the full upgrade fantasy while cutting power down. EXP costs are doubled, flux core effects are generally halved, godly pressure radius is reduced, flight speed is lower, and the strongest abilities have cooldowns. It still lets players create powerful custom items, but it reduces instant-kill behavior and gives major abilities clearer limits.

Celestial still has cosmic wings, flight, damage phasing, time stop, Divide, and celestial godly pressure, but time stop lasts 15 seconds instead of 30, and offensive ability damage is much lower. Primordial still has red-black wings, undead mobs ignoring the player, rage scaling, Demonic Claw, and Draconic Shockwave, but its damage and scaling are reduced. Draconic Shockwave in balanced costs most of the user’s HP and has a 5-minute cooldown.

Balanced GOD FATHER still feels like the final core: golden wings, halo, god vision, divine aura, Truth Seeking Orbs, adaptation, Almighty Slash, Almighty Push, and the one-item server limit are all still present. The difference is that its attacks are controlled. Truth Seeking Orbs fire every 1 second instead of 0.1 seconds and deal 25 true damage. Almighty Slash deals 150 true damage with a 20-second cooldown. Almighty Push deals 500 true damage with a 5-minute cooldown. GOD FATHER still has 3x true hit damage in both versions.

Balanced is best for servers that want the same rare-core progression and visuals without letting one item instantly dominate everything. Original is best for a high-power or “god item” experience where Celestial, Primordial, and GOD FATHER are meant to feel almost unstoppable.
