Description
It Copies You
A horror mod about your own day. Everything you did today, it does tonight.
Something is watching you play. Not hunting, just watching: every path you walk, every door you open, every block you break, every word you type in chat.
Then the sun goes down, and it puts on your face.
The Copy
- It wears you. Your skin, your armor, the item in your hand, your name over its head. Only the eyes are wrong.
- It walks your day. It starts where you started (usually your bed) and walks your exact routes at your exact times. It goes where you went, even through walls you've built since.
- It does what you did. Doors you opened swing open on their own at the moment you opened them. Blocks you mined crack again. The things you said in chat come back to you, in your own name, at 2 AM.
- If it sees you, it stops pretending.
- While you look at it, it's your reflection. Step toward it and it steps toward you. Sneak and it sneaks. Swing and it swings.
- Look away and it comes for you, with your weapon, in your armor, with your health.
- When the replay runs out, it comes looking for you.
- You can't sleep while it's walking near your bed.
- At dawn it's gone. Tomorrow it learns a new day.
Fighting back
- Kill it (it has exactly what you have) and it drops Echo Fragments.
- Hand Mirror (4 Echo Fragments, glass pane, stick):
- At night: shows where your Copy is, which hour of your day it's walking, and makes it glow.
- By day: tells you how much of today it's seen.
- Sneak-use by day: smashes the mirror and makes it forget today. Nothing walks tonight.
Config

Info
- Forge 1.20.1, needed on client and server. Works in multiplayer, where everyone gets their own Copy and only you see your echoed chat.
- Overworld only. A day spent in the Nether gives it nothing to copy.
- Fine to use in modpacks.
