Description

Now, after almost four years, I’ve returned to my mods. Instead of simply updating them, I’ve decided to recreate most of them from the ground up to better fit the modern, polished style of Minecraft modding.
I also have a lot of new ideas for my collection of mods, and it turns out that Iron Generators has gained over 4 million (!) downloads over the past few years. 10 million in total for complete collection! That’s absolutely incredible, and I can’t thank you all enough! 😁
With that in mind, I felt that this mod deserved an overhaul more than anything else.
For 1.21.1, 26.1.2, and newer, the collection of generators has been reduced slightly to focus on quality and better balancing. The energy unit is Forge Energy (FE), while the fluid unit is millibuckets (mB).
- Stone Generator
- Iron Generator
- Gold Generator
- Diamond Generator
- Emerald Generator
- Crystal Generator
- Obsidian Generator
- Copper Generator
- Netherite Generator
Additionally, the following modded generators are included for modpack integration:
- Allthemodium
- Vibranium
- Unobtainium
More modded generators may be added in the future. Modded generators need custom crafting recipes. For every generator, there are upgrades available from the lower tiers.
It also felt like this new version needed a bit more customization, so Augments are now part of the generator ecosystem as well. The following augments are currently available:
- Speed
- Efficiency
- Overdrive
While the first two are fairly self-explanatory, Overdrive introduces a new mechanic that requires a bit of redstone control logic to overclock your generator. It can multiply your power output several times over, but pushing it too far can cause the generator to explode!
How fun is that? 😄
As with previous versions, the energy output, augment effects, and various other settings can be adjusted through the configuration file. While I’ve aimed to make the default values well-balanced, you can always tweak the outputs to better suit your playstyle or the balance of your modpack.
The configuration file can be found at config/irongenerators.toml
As always, you can send me feedback through the comments or private messages. I’ll be keeping a closer eye on them from now on and will do my best to respond to your feedback and suggestions!
