π Iourus Farm
Bring living animal husbandry to Minecraft and turn livestock into a responsibility, not just a resource.
Iourus Farm expands Minecraft ranching with taming, daily care, breeding, disease, and sanitation, while preserving the simplicity and visual identity of vanilla Minecraft.
Rather than being a food mod, Iourus Farm focuses on the living foundation of the Iourus ecosystem: raising the animals that future culinary, nutrition, and economic systems can build upon.
πΎ Taming & Ownership
Animals aren't yours until you earn them.
Wild cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens must be tamed and claimed before they accept your care. Each animal belongs to a player, calves inherit ownership from their parents, and only the owner (or an operator) can interact with them.
Your herd is truly yours, and so is the work that comes with it.
π Hunger, Thirst & Happiness
Livestock needs daily care.
Tamed animals track hunger, thirst, and happiness. Hungry or thirsty animals grow sad, stop producing, fall sick, and can eventually starve. Well-fed animals are happy, healthy, and productive.
Feeders distribute food automatically within their pen, and water troughs quench thirst , but only for animals that can actually reach them. Walls and fences matter: food doesn't pass through them.
𧬠Breeding & Personality
Every animal is an individual.
Each one is born with its own breed traits, yield potential, fertility, and personality, from the affectionate to the grumpy. Taming, feeding, and breeding decisions shape your herd over generations.
Breed your best animals and watch bloodlines improve.
π The Magnifier
Know your herd at a glance.
Inspect any animal with the magnifier to see its owner, health, hunger, thirst, happiness, breed, and condition in a clean floating display.
No menus, no clutter. Just look and know.
π¦ Sickness & The Plague
Neglect has consequences.
Starving animals fall sick. Filth breeds disease. And bovine plague, contagious, and lethal, can sweep through crowded, dirty cattle if left unchecked.
Medicines and vaccines can cure and protect, but the best cure is prevention: keep animals fed, watered, and their ground clean.
π© Manure & Sanitation
Animals leave their mark.
Pigs and cows naturally produce manure, and too many piles near sheep and cattle make them sick. Clean pens stay healthy; filthy pens don't.
Waste becomes management and soon, fertilizer for someone else's fields.
π₯ Milking, Truffles & Produce
Care pays back.
Healthy adult dairy cows can be milked by hand, happy pigs sniff out valuable truffles, and chickens lay as nature intended. Production scales with happiness, health, and genetics, never with luck alone.
Happy animals are productive animals.
π‘οΈ Gameplay Philosophy
Iourus Farm is built around a simple idea:
Animals should be a living responsibility, not a vending machine.
Farmers tame, feed, water, clean, heal, and breed.
The herd rewards those who care, and punishes those who don't.
By separating husbandry from cooking and production, each system keeps its own identity and creates room for players to specialize.
π Part of the World of Iourus
Iourus Farm is part of the larger Iourus ecosystem, a collection of interconnected mods designed to transform Minecraft into a living medieval fantasy RPG sandbox.
Its livestock systems are designed to supply future cookingconnecting naturally with Iourus Progression's nutrition and professions, Iourus Economy, settlements, trade, and other production systems.
Tame the wild. Feed the herd. Keep it clean.
