Isle of Berk + GeckoLib Compatibility Test

A Forge 1.18.2 client-side test companion for Isle of Berk 1.2.0 and original GeckoLib Forge 3.0.57.

This test build adds a guard in GeckoLib's AnimationController.process for the missing boneSnapshot that can crash clients while Isle of Berk dragons transition animations. If the controller snapshot is absent, the guard reuses GeckoLib's matching snapshot when available; otherwise, it captures the matching live bone before the transition reads its rotation, position, or scale.

Install this companion on every client that renders Isle of Berk dragons. Keep the original Isle of Berk and GeckoLib JARs installed. Dedicated-server installation is optional and does not replace client installation.

Test version: Please try the affected dragon animations. If you encounter a crash or rendering/animation problem, submit the crash report and latest.log with the Minecraft, Forge, GeckoLib, Isle of Berk, and companion versions, plus your mod list. Remove private or sensitive information before sharing logs.

This companion does not replace GeckoLib or Isle of Berk and does not include Isle of Berk Deadlock Fix or Variant Loader features.
