What's new

Inventory Locker

Inventory Locker is a lightweight quality-of-life mod that lets you reserve inventory slots for specific items.

Hover over an occupied player-inventory slot and press L to lock it. Once locked, the item cannot be accidentally moved, dropped, swapped, or replaced by a different item.

When the stack runs out, the slot remains reserved. A transparent image of the locked item stays behind as a placeholder, with a small padlock displayed over it. Only the matching item can return to that slot unless you unlock it.

Features

  • Lock inventory and hotbar slots to specific items
  • Prevent locked items from being moved or manually dropped
  • Keep emptied slots reserved for their original item
  • Display transparent item placeholders in empty locked slots
  • Show a visible padlock over locked items and placeholders
  • Automatically accept matching collected or shift-clicked items
  • Protect reserved slots from unrelated items
  • Works in Survival and Creative inventories
  • Change the lock key through Minecraft’s key-bind settings

How to Use

  1. Open your inventory.

  2. Hover over an occupied player-inventory slot.

  3. Press L to lock the slot.

  4. Hover over it and press L again to unlock it.

The key can be changed under:

Options → Controls → Key Binds → Inventory Locker
