What's new

Inventory Expansion 1.3.0

Overview

Lots of under the hood changes to how sacks work. The results are items can now have different sack types depending on the properties of the item. So water bottles can be in the bottle sack type while potions are now in the new potion sack type. Sack weight now uses fractions, which lets us respect the max sack size component when computing sack weight. It also allows us to do more cool stuff with sack weights, like having items take up 1/3 of a normal item's weight.

Gameplay changes

  • Added potions sack type
  • Added integration with Trailier Tales
  • Added integration with Wilder Wild
  • Lots of minor changes to default sack types
  • Bee Hives and Nests take up 64x the default size when they have bees in them

Technical Changes

  • Sack Weights are now fractions, and components like "sack_weight" and "max_sack_weight" are also fractions.
  • Sack Type and Weight defaults are now generated via datagen instead of being manually created.
  • Sack Type and Weight defaults use a new format in the data. They are now separate from each other.
  • A sack type tag has been created for each sack type to allow for easier integration with other mods. All that needs to be done is to add the item to the sack type tag.
  • Sack Type now no longer has "name"s defined with them.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with rendering tooltips for sacks, quivers, and bundles.
