This mod adds a new faction - Shadow Universe! Shadows are invading your world. But you're not a helpless damsel left to die alone - Shaow Gear crafted from shards of slain Shadows and high technology will assist you in this difficult endeavor. Will you be able to stop them?

DISCLAIMER: It was inspired by several horror mods (Voided Reality, In The Corners and Wonderland.jar), so don't be surprised if you encounter some elements slightly smiliar to those from aforementioned mods.

This mod has:

What's the hierarchy?

1st tier - Simpletons (weak entities):

Simpletons are the weakest Shadows. They spawn only in Overworld and are relatively easy to deal with.

2nd tier - Middle Class (strong entities):

The main group of Shadows. They spawn exclusively in Shadow Realm (regardless of classification) and in one of Shadow Domain biomes depending on their class.

3rd tier - Elites (mini-bosses):

Elites are like mini-bosses, they spawn rarely and only in Shadow Domain, but defeating them can earn you decent loot.

4th tier - Noblemen (minor bosses):

Noblemen are the minor bosses of the mod. They spawn extremely rarely for a reason: their toughness knows no bounds, their strength is almost unparalleled, and their abilities may not amuse you. But slaining them will result in generous rewards.

5th tier - Overlords (major bosses):

They're the most powerful Shadows, masters of groups and formations, while the final boss is a grand mastermind behind this all.

Side tier 1 - Converteds:

Naturally found only in Echoing Past Dimension, they're the reconstructed coies of former players of the world that fell victim to Invasion of The Shadows. They're something almost like Middle Class.

Side tier 2 - Souls:

Mostly found in Heaven, they're neutral entites that mostly attack when hit. Admin #13/Benevolent Starlight will destroy any hostile entity he/she sees.

Side tier 3 - Corner Shadows:

They're found only in Corrupted Corner. They're something between Middle Class and Elite.

Side Tier 4 - Voidful Shadows:

Complex, evil and hostile Shadows with two or more states/behaviors. They come from The Void, the place of absolute darkness.

Non-entity matters:

Shadow Domain - five biomes, most Shadows reside there. Can be accessed by unsealing the Shadow Beacon found in Shadow Realm. But be careful - unsealing can bring the world closer to the second stage of corruption. And Shadow Domain is not a paradise either - powerful Shadows known as Elites patrol the biomes, making your travel a real challenge.

Echoing Past - a dimension full of half-ARG elements such as lore structures, lore books and a new talking character - The Sentient. Life once used to reign supreme here, until Shadows ruined it. Uncover the lore behind the world that became the first victim of Shadows.

Void Dude - he can talk, chase, stalk, observe and even fight you in a bossfight!

The Sentient - Lesser Shadow #230, who has gained sentience. He has various normal states and two chasing behaviors, and a full-fledged bossfight. Also, you can chat with him, though the keywords spectrum is narrower.

Bossfights - there are six bosses as of now: Shadow Lord (1st), Void Wire (2nd), The Sentient (side boss), Glory of The Civils (3rd), Vainglorious Hivemind (4th) and Master Cosmos (FINAL BOSS).

Mechanics:

Conversion - every times someone dies to a Shadow, a Converted Humna can spawn with a chance (40%).

Corruption - there are Corrupt Shadow Blocks that slowly corrupt your world. They're fragile and easy to blast, which fairly compensates for its quick spreading.

Second Stage - at some point (accelerated by unsealing Shadow Beacons), the rifts may open again spontaneously. The chat will send you a warning once the world descends into this stage.

Tool tiers:

Shadow tier - use Shadow Magic against their masters by grinding Shadow Shards!

Reinforced Shadow Tier - want even more power? No problem, this one will help you with this.

Sturdy Shadow Tier - the highest tier of tools and gear. You'll be almost like a moving fortress!

Techno stuff - craft high-tech gadgets and gear to fight with a style and efficiency that could strike fear in Shadows.

Starlight Summoning - yes, you can summon Benevolent Starlight! You need a Starlight Beacon and Sentience Beacon for activating it. Once she manifests, Shadows yield, and the world will be slowly recovering (as if Master Cosmos was banished forever).

Corrupted Corner and The Heaven - side dimensions which also provide a set of challenges. They're not necessary for progression, like Echoing Past, but are also interesting.

Admin #13 - this dude has been known as Benevolent Starlight, but he also has a human form! You can summon him using a Charm of Admin #13. If you give him the Gem of Cosmos, he will grow giant.

Planned content:

After one-week break (ends on May 22th): 1.5.0 (Shattered Beyonds Update) - a large as hell update inspired by 'The Broken Beyond' Besiege DLC. There will be lots of planets and objects to travel to, rockets (obviously), new entities (Cosmic Shadows, and Aliens), some new high-tech gadgets (finally), a new advancement tree related to 1.5.0 update, and some new tunes. Also expect 1+ new Voidful Shadow and some tweaks for progression regarding Shadow Domain. To make things more interesting, the space exploration will be available after defeating Vainful and Glorious (4th Boss) and will become the only way to reach Master Cosmos, while Shadow Lord will be revamped, with new Highlander Shadows. (Upcoming - till July)
