Description
Instant Grow lets you instantly mature nearby baby animals and grow farmland crops using configurable keys or simple commands.
Spend less time waiting and more time building your farm.
Easy controls
- G — Grow mobs and crops.
- H — Grow mobs only.
- J — Grow crops only.
All keys can be reassigned in the Controls menu. Key actions affect a radius of 10 blocks.
Works in singleplayer with cheats disabled
The singleplayer world owner can use the key bindings without enabling cheats.
On multiplayer servers, key bindings require vanilla command permission level 2, normally granted to server operators.
Commands
/grow mobs [radius]
/grow crops [radius]
The default radius is 10 blocks. Commands accept a radius from 1 to 32 blocks and require command permission level 2.
What does it affect?
- Eligible baby animals and villagers, including cows, sheep and villagers.
- Wheat, carrots, potatoes and beetroots growing on farmland.
Baby zombies and baby piglins remain unchanged. Grass, flowers, sugar cane, cacti and nether wart are excluded.
Dense areas are processed across multiple ticks to limit sudden server workload. The mod does not force unloaded chunks to load.
Installation and requirements
Requires Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or later and the matching Fabric API.
Supported Minecraft versions:
- 1.21.11 — Java 21 or later.
- 26.1, 26.2 and 26.3 — Java 25 or later.
Download the JAR matching your exact Minecraft version. Install only one Instant Grow JAR and one matching Fabric API version.
In singleplayer, install the mod normally on your client. In multiplayer, install it on the server and also on clients that want to use key bindings. Server commands can be used by authorized players without the mod installed on their client.
