What's new

Infinite Crafting 1.5.0 (Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge)

New: Synthesis Workbench and runes

  • New block: Synthesis Workbench (amethyst shards, a lapis block, obsidian and the Procedural Workbench). Put in a tool that has abilities and a rune: it combines the tool's abilities into a new skill that is added to the carousel. The original abilities are kept.
  • Every ability is made of real parts (how it is delivered, what it does on hit, modifiers, impact, propagation, effects on you). The synthesis keeps everything that can work together and only drops what truly cannot, always showing the reason.
  • Example: TNT + redstone + echo shard becomes an instant electric bolt that pierces 8 targets, deals electric and sonic damage in one hit, slows, knocks back and explodes where it stops.
  • Full preview before confirming: what the skill does with its numbers, which parts were kept, joined, converted or discarded (and why), its cooldown and cost.
  • 4 runes: Synthesis (neutral), Elemental (elements lead and also hit with the impacts), Expansion (chains start from every target hit) and Rupture (impacts at every target hit). Runes never add functions, they steer how the parts are combined.
  • The server validates everything: the rune is consumed only when the skill is added. The same tool and rune always give the same skill. Works in multiplayer and survives saving and restarting.

Balance: rarity and composition

  • Tools made of rarer materials are much stronger. Rarity classes go from common (wood, stone) to special (nether star). Simple tools of common materials keep their vanilla numbers.
  • Bigger, well-built drawings (more cells connected to the tool, good head and handle proportion) now raise the stats a lot, and rare materials and many cells multiply each other.
  • Well-planned mixes (for example a diamond head on an iron handle) get a bonus.
  • Examples, sword damage: diamond 6.96 -> 10.28; elaborate diamond 8.14 -> 15.56; elaborate netherite 9.43 -> 21.23. Elaborate diamond pickaxe mining speed 8.31 -> 16.91.
  • No more maximum durability, damage, mining speed or attack speed.
  • Tool size now changes area, reach and model only; the stat gain comes from the composition (no double multiplier).
  • Rarity and composition are shown in the tooltip and in the workbench preview.
  • Tools crafted with older versions are recalculated automatically once (enchantments, names, abilities and wear are kept).
