无限盛宴 Infinite Feast

Eat beyond full hunger with a per-player saturation cap, new Satiating Apples, and the Gluttony Blessing.

Infinite Feast

For Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge 47.4.x

Eat beyond full hunger with a per-player saturation cap, new Satiating Apples, and the Gluttony Blessing.

Infinite Feast removes the "you're too full to eat" limit and turns food into long-term progression. Every player has a personal saturation cap that starts at 20 and grows as they discover new foods. Two special apples push that cap further, and at the endgame the Gluttony Blessing turns eating into a survival mechanic.

Important: The Gluttony Blessing is disabled by default. To use it, enable enableBlessing and set maxSaturation to at least 233 in the config. The default maximum is 80, so the blessing is intentionally an endgame feature.

A saturation cap that grows with you

  • Every player starts with a personal current saturation cap of 20.
  • The first time you eat a food, your cap increases by 2.
  • Satiating Golden Apple: +10 cap and fills saturation to the new cap.
  • Satiating Enchanted Golden Apple: raises the cap directly to the configured maximum.
  • Your cap can never exceed the configured maxSaturation.
  • The cap and your food collection are saved per player and synced to the client.

Eating at full hunger

  • You can keep eating even when your hunger bar is full.
  • Both special apples restore hunger to 20 and fill saturation to your current cap.
  • Works with most item foods and common edible blocks such as cake and pie.
  • Every increase of your current cap shows an action-bar message.

The Gluttony Blessing

The blessing is a custom state, not a potion effect. Milk cannot remove it, and it is displayed as an icon in the potion HUD area.

When maxSaturation is at least 233 and your current cap is already at the maximum:

  • Satiating Golden Apple grants 3 minutes of Gluttony Blessing.
  • Satiating Enchanted Golden Apple grants 30 minutes of Gluttony Blessing.

Gaining the blessing also grants configured potion effects for the same duration:

  • Strength III
  • Resistance III
  • Haste III
  • Speed III
  • Jump Boost III
  • Regeneration III
  • Absorption III
  • Fire Resistance I

Each effect can be disabled in the config.

Full and Void states

The blessing has two states: Full and Void.

  • While Full, lethal damage is canceled. Your health is restored to maximum, hunger and saturation are cleared, and you enter the Void state for 10 minutes.
  • While Void, the blessing does not prevent death.
  • After the 10-minute penalty ends, if the blessing is still active, you automatically return to Full without reapplying the potion effects.
  • The blessing is only removed by its timer or by commands. It deliberately survives death and respawn.

Special messages

When you eat either special apple at the maximum cap:

  • If the blessing is disabled or maxSaturation is below 233: "这些食物已经无法满足你了" (green).
  • If the blessing is enabled and maxSaturation is at least 233: "啊~味蕾在颤抖! 暴饮! 暴食!" (red).

Advancements

  • Tastes Good — eat a Satiating Golden Apple for the first time.
  • Infinite Feast: Gluttony — reach the maximum cap when maxSaturation is below 233.
  • Infinite Feast: Devouring — reach the maximum cap when maxSaturation is at least 233.

The second advancement uses one entry and changes its display dynamically, so only one state appears in the advancement tab.

Zombie villagers

A Satiating Golden Apple can replace a normal golden apple when curing a zombie villager that has the Weakness effect.

  • Conversion time is halved (1800–3000 ticks instead of 3600–6000).
  • The cured villager receives extra major-positive gossip, improving discounts and extending their useful duration.
  • This can be disabled in the config.

Commands

All commands require permission level 2.

/set current_saturation <20~maxSaturation>
/infinitefeast blessing <seconds>
/infinitefeast blessingLooking <seconds>
/infinitefeast clearBlessing
/infinitefeast clearBlessingLooking
  • /set current_saturation sets your current saturation cap. If your current saturation is higher than the new cap, it is clamped to the cap.
  • /infinitefeast blessing gives yourself a Gluttony Blessing. The duration unit is seconds, the same as /effect give.
  • /infinitefeast blessingLooking gives the entity you are looking at a Gluttony Blessing. Supports players and compatible addon entities such as Touhou Little Maid maids.
  • /infinitefeast clearBlessing removes your own blessing.
  • /infinitefeast clearBlessingLooking removes the blessing from the entity you are looking at.

Examples

/set current_saturation 80
/infinitefeast blessing 180
/infinitefeast blessingLooking 600

FAQ

Why did I get no blessing after eating an apple?

Check three things: enableBlessing must be true, maxSaturation must be at least 233, and your current saturation cap must already be at the maximum. The apple that raises your cap to the maximum does not grant the blessing; the next apple eaten at the maximum does.

Does milk remove the blessing?

No. It is a custom persistent state, not a MobEffect.

Can I use this with AppleSkin?

Yes. AppleSkin is optional.

Does this work with modded food?

Most food items using normal food properties work. Common edible blocks such as cake and pie are also supported.

Does it work in multiplayer?

Yes. Install it on both the server and the client. Cloth Config is client-side.

API for mod authors

Infinite Feast exposes a small public API for addons:

  • InfiniteFeastAPI.getCurrentSaturationCap(Player)
  • InfiniteFeastAPI.hasGluttonyBlessing(Player)
  • InfiniteFeastAPI.getBlessingState(Player)
  • InfiniteFeastAPI.grantBlessing(Entity, int seconds)
  • InfiniteFeastAPI.clearBlessing(Entity)
  • IGluttonyBlessingHolder for non-player entities
