ImmersiveFX-1.1.2_NeoForge.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
ImmersiveFX 1.1.2 - NeoForge 26.3
First release for NeoForge 26.3. ImmersiveFX now uses its own version numbers, starting at 1.0.0.
General
- Ported from Forge 1.16.5 to NeoForge 26.3 (Java 25)
- The mod is now client side only. Servers do not need it, and it works on vanilla servers
- ImmersiveFX is now one mod instead of five separate entries (Sound Control, Environs, Mob Effects and Special FX are part of it)
- One settings screen with the categories General, Sound Control, Environs, Mob Effects and Special FX
- New logo
Sound
- Biome ambience now plays in 3D: it comes from the direction the biome lies in and pans when you turn your head. Can be switched off, and the strength is adjustable ("3D Biome Ambience", "3D Ambience Directionality")
- Seamless loops: silence at the start and end of loop files is trimmed and loop points crossfade into each other, so there are no clicks or gaps when an ambience repeats ("Loop Crossfade", "Loop Crossfade Length")
- Waterfalls fade in as you come closer and fade out as you walk away, instead of starting and stopping abruptly ("Fade In Time")
- Your own water sounds (diving in, jumping out, swimming, splashing) now play directly in stereo, without reverb. Other players and mobs still sound positional ("2D Own Water Sounds")
- Under water your own swimming and splashing sounds are muffled and slightly spatial, as you would hear them with your head under water
- Natural 3D panning: a sound right beside you is no longer heard only in one ear. By default it plays 70% on its side and 30% on the other, like in real life ("3D Panning Softness", 0 = hard panning as in vanilla). Not used when Directional Audio (HRTF) is on, which already sounds natural
- Rain splash under your footsteps is 60% quieter
Special FX
- New settings: every effect can be switched off and has its own volume slider (blood splatter, crafting, smelting, item drop, workstation clicks, mob spawn, hunger, bed, chat)
- Blood particle amount is adjustable (0-200%), and the spawn smoke can be switched off
- All effects now run on the client, so they work on any server
- In singleplayer every sound plays once (before, several played twice)
- The bed sound plays when you actually lie down, not on failed attempts
- You hear the chat sound for other players' messages and their blood splatter hits
Fixes
- Fixed a crash when creating a world
- Fixed the game getting stuck on the loading screen
- Fixed many mod sounds being silent because the sound list was read too early
- Fixed bundled configs (biome sounds, footsteps) not loading after merging into one mod
- Fixed the game process staying alive in the background after closing Minecraft
- Fixed mod sounds sometimes going silent (only vanilla sounds left) after changing dimension or respawning in singleplayer
