The High Command is happy to announce the Immersive Intelligence update 0.2.1 “Festung”!
This is one, if not the largest update in mod's history – and it took more than a year to refine into working condition. We present you several major additions as well as overhauls and fixes.

- Emplacements, an automated defense structures of the next generation, with extreme reach and equally strong punch depending on the Upgrade.
- Improved Manual.
- Manual Display in Data Input Machine and Arithmetic-Logic Machine GUIs, Improvements to data editors, modularity
- Improvements to Machine GUIs, especially the

- Added Chain Fence Gates, 3 variants – Steel, Aluminum and Wood.
- Projectile Workshop (+ upgrade), Ammo Workshop, Filler. Part of the reworked Ammo production.
- Added working Vehicle workshop.
- Added Motorbike.
-Added Light Howitzer, towable by Motorbike.
-Added Mortar, and Mortar Rounds.
-First prototypes of chemical weapons.

-Added Chemical Painter, for painting items.
-Added Rubber, alongside Coagulator and Vulcanizer. Vulcanisation compound included.
- Rubber trees planted in jungles.
-Added Rubber Conveyors.
-Added rubber tires and rubber motor belts.
-Finally added all the recipes for majority of the items. Now fully (for the most part) survival-compatible.
- Added more upgrades to the Light Engineer armor, most of the upgrades now change how the armor looks and functions.
-Added Custom contributor skins. (Note: does not act like a default shader. At the moment, works on MG only – put it into crafting grid with the book)
-Added or reworked more sounds for some machines, some are custom recorded due to the team acquiring a high quality microphone.
-Finished the Effect crates (Ammo, Medical, Repair). Made them use materials for actions.
-Added Packer, which can be upgraded to Fluid packer, and Unpacker. It features
- You can now place certain blocks in the minecarts, mainly batteries and crates. Compatibility with Immersive Technology included.
-Finished Railgun Grenades, used by both Railgun and Heavy Railgun Emplacement.
-Added Sabot and Shaped types of Projectiles.
-Fuse types - bullets can now be configured on when they explode, Proximity, Timed or Contact Fuses can be used for most ammunition.
-Added more Upgrades to the Machinegun and Submachinegun.
- A few secret additions to Hanses. (try to discover ^^)
-Added CO2 collector, applied atop the Advanced Blast Furnace and to sides of the Fermenter.
-Added Radar multiblock, very WIP.
- Nuke improvement: added charred logs – can be grinded into sawdust and coke dust.
- Changed commands, now to spawn Hanses use /ii hans, instead of /ii dev hans
-Basic Hans AI added. Still needs a lot of improvements. Commands expanded, including ability to paradrop them (try paradropping a light howitzer squad using /ii hans)
-Added Animations to Hanses going prone and laying during certain tactical actions.
-Added facial animations to Hanses.
-Added more sounds.
Changed:
- Complete overhaul of the Ammo production process, requiring Projectile Workshop (+ upgrade), Ammo Workshop and Filler. Process now goes like this: projectile workshop -> projectile workshop (filler upgrade) -> ammunition workshop. You can add as many projectile workshops as you want, unless you run out of component slots in the Ammo type. PW without upgrade only makes the Projectiles, where’s Filer Upgrade allows you to put some additional elements into it, one machine for one element (for example – to tnt into a bullet or shrapnel in a shell). Filler is used to fill the casing of any type with the propellant (mainly gunpowder). Ammo Workshop assembles the components into useable Ammunition.
- Cores are sometimes called Projectiles depending on case.
-Changes to Ammo textures (including IE revolver casings) were made to reflect on their caliber and overall size.
- Ammo models were revamped, now look more distinct from one another.
-Changed the behavior of White Phosphorus.
-Improved quality of the particles.
-Increased the range of Artillery Howitzer. By a lot.
-Changed the positioning of the default Railgun for more appropriate one.
-Muzzle Flash and emplacement sync change.
-Minor tweaks to Data system
-Reworked Inserters. Functionale expanded.
-Reworked rotary power, now gears don't break and are used for changing the torque to speed ratio in gearboxes and efficiency in all machines
-Lowered the torque needed for the sawmill operations
-Improved motor belt rendering, now they can render vertically, although it has a few *new* problems, it's modular and meant to be a multitool for both motor belts and vehicle threads
Fixes:
- Fixed broken nuke particles.
-Numerous small bugfixes were made, so much so that no even us can remember what was fixed – most of the bugs are fixed.
- Fixed landmine crashes from beta versions.
-Fixed missing textures.
- When belt-fed upgrade is installed on the Ammo crate, and belt-fed option is on the Machinegun, the ammo belt is now affixed to the box. Also, colors of the bullets in the belt depend on the ammo in the Ammo crate.
- Flagpole fixes.
Known issues:
- Hans AI still needs improvement, it sometimes irrationally fights melee instead of ranged.
--While most bugs have been fixed, it is not known how much more bugs can be there. Make backups of your worlds before testing in case you find major bugs or mod conflicts.
Trivia:
Initially, this update was called “Achtung Minen!” and would add only the landmines and basic Emplacements. However, we kinda… went way pass the original scope of plans and with some feature creep added even MORE additions, as well as reworking some of the mechanics and existing machines to make the update truly in epic proportions. Some machines and features are still worked on and could not be crammed into this update fully, so it should be continued on the next updates which hopefully won’t take as long.
Still, this update already massively expands the possibilities of warfare, so we wish you have some fun in the trenches. ^^
