Icy Contracts is a Curios accessory mod. Every contract is an equivalent exchange forged with an entity that transcends dimensions: once worn, you gain powerful "Gifts" — and must bear harsh "Prices". Your Contract Depth records your history of fulfillment — depth is power, and it is also your last bargaining chip when you breach.
Core Mechanics
- Prices × Gifts : Every contract is a double-edged sword; great power always comes with a heavy price
- Contract Depth : Accumulate depth through kills, offerings, eating and more — depth grows your contract and unlocks stronger effects
- Breach Mechanic : Fail to uphold your end? Death, a countdown reaching zero... the price of breach is far heavier than you imagine
- Fully Configurable : Every value is adjustable in`config/icy/*.toml` — missing files auto-generate a default template, and old configs migrate automatically

Six Contracts
◆ Soul Moon Nest
Most of your soul is dragged into the abyssal lunar nest. Soul Form : HP locked at 1 with a shield system (shield cap grows with depth), soul flight, physical damage reduction, immunity to all debuffs — at the cost of all-attribute penalties in each dimension, and the inability to ever eat again. Slain enemies have their essence drained into your shield; death consumes depth to revive you, and when depth runs out, you breach.
◆ Life Thread
A contract woven from the threads of life. Massively increased max health, damage scaling with max HP and depth, overflow healing converted into absorption; in exchange, permanent hunger, restricted armor, and bonus max-HP damage taken. Recording new foods in your food codex grants permanent max HP (integrates with Spice of Life: Carrot Edition).
◆ Yearning Vessel
The vessel of the god of greed. Offer metals to unlock "carried metal bonuses" (stackable per metal), villager trade discounts, and a luck growth system; the price: you must carry tribute at all times, newly obtained metals may be randomly devoured, and movement/attack speed is restricted. Metals can also be eaten directly — effects vary by metal.
◆ World Devourer
The gluttonous lord that devours worlds. The more types of entities you kill, the stronger your all-attributes and drops become; curse levels trade for all damage and contract depth; debuff resistance scales with level. While worn, anvil enchanting bypasses level caps (high-level books are no longer crushed down to Lv.8, and the 40-level "too expensive" limit is removed). You can also sacrifice specific trait items to unlock staged bonuses, and the contract automatically doubles back any attribute multiplier deductions.
◆ Samsara End
A pact of a thousand days. Your all-attribute bonus is tied to the countdown — the fuller the hourglass, the greater the grace. Before the sand runs out, slay "the avatar that writes the continuing chapter" and close the ring of samsara with your own hands. If time runs out, the reckoning descends: everything you possess — items, blocks, living beings — will be erased page by page, until nothing remains.
◆ Voyage Star
A multi-stage growth accessory for the awareness slots (seven stages in total). In the prologue stage you are merely a "data phantom" (forced spectator mode); eating the trigger food advances you to stage one, and further stages are reached by sacrificing offerings. Higher stages unlock combat modules: Implosion (stack, detonate, armor penetration) and Resonant Quake (interference stacks → immobilize + vulnerability).
Also in the works: Void Whisper.
