Ice and Fire Dragon Balance & AI Fix (Patch Notes)

This custom compatibility patch addresses critical gameplay and balance issues with Ice and Fire dragons for version 1.20.1-beta-5. The main goal of this fix is to prevent game-breaking scaling and make dragon encounters highly engaging, fair, and challenging.

What’s Changed in This Fix?

Dragon Health (HP) Re-balancing: Dragon base health values have been completely reworked. No more unkillable or underwhelming beasts. Dragon HP now scales perfectly to ensure fights feel like epic, multi-stage boss battles rather than a tedious grind.
Damage Calibration (No More One-Shots): Adjusted attack damage and breath weapon scaling. Dragons now deal fair but devastating damage relative to mid-to-late game medieval armor sets, eliminating frustrating "one-shot" scenarios while keeping the threat level high.
Enhanced Target AI & Follow Range (Target Research Fix): Overhauled the dragon pathfinding and target acquisition logic (FOLLOW_RANGE). Dragons now search for targets and track players with a highly optimized vision radius. They will no longer lose sight of you instantly or glitch out during high-altitude pursuits, making their hunting behavior aggressive and smart.
