Hunter's Delight

Hunter's Delight is a hunting-focused Minecraft mod that adds new hunting tools, traps, pests, and wildlife mechanics.

The mod expands vanilla survival with new ways to hunt animals, collect pests, and gather loot from the world around you.

Hunting Tools

Hunter's Delight adds several specialised tools, each with its own purpose and rare drops.

Fishing Net

Catches fish and provides valuable fishing loot.

There is also a rare chance to obtain a Frogcoin.

Lasso

Allows you to catch birds and other flying animals.

Time your clicks correctly to keep your target from breaking free. Successful catches reward you with loot that scales with the animal.

There is a rare chance to obtain a Kismet Feather.

Vacuum

Collects pests and stores them as Vermin.

Huntrap

Traps animals and provides loot when they are killed.

Place Vermin inside a Huntrap to attract nearby animals.

Huntaxe

Deals only 1 damage, but allows you to hunt regular hostile mobs for loot.

There is a rare chance to obtain an Unlucky Doubloon.

Pests

Pests are small creatures that infest certain crops and plants.

Different pests are associated with different vegetation, giving you a reason to keep an eye on your farms.

Grappling Hook

The Grappling Hook is a new mobility tool crafted similarly to a fishing rod.

Instead of catching fish, use it to grapple and move around the world.

The Greenhouse

A new Greenhouse structure can be discovered while exploring.

Something is hidden inside. Watch your step.

Progression

Find rare hunting tools, collect Vermin, set traps, and hunt increasingly valuable animals.

Each tool offers a different approach to hunting, with rare drops giving you something extra to look for.

Vanilla Feel

Hunter's Delight builds on Minecraft's existing survival, farming, and mob systems.

Its goal is to make hunting more rewarding while adding a few unusual tools and secrets to discover.
