Horror Poodle: Waiting for You

She is not running at you. She is not chasing you.
She is waiting.
She says she will wait for you to come back.

THE MEME BEHIND THIS

In late 2026 a photo of a cream-white poodle went viral on the Chinese internet: standing upright like a person, its face just human enough to feel wrong. People kept running into it at 3 AM in their feeds. Someone laid the old line "我等着你回来" ("I'm waiting for you to come back") over it, and the image stuck: the poodle that waits for you.

This mod takes that image and turns it into a boss fight. Same posture, same patience, same wrongness.

If you have met that white poodle at 3 AM - yes, this is that one.

WHAT IS IN THIS MOD

- One boss: the Horror Poodle (meme_horror_dog), standing and walking on two legs
- A full custom model, seven hand-made animations, a dedicated glowing-eyes layer, custom particles and sounds
- Two custom damage types, each with its own death message
- A creative tab (Meme Horror) with the Horror Poodle spawn egg
- Small by design: no dimensions, no biomes, no quest chains, no changes to vanilla progression

WHEN SHE COMES

On your third night in the world - or your third night after adding this mod to an existing world - she appears at nightfall, 45 metres away. Nights skipped by sleeping still count: sleep through the third night and she arrives on the next real night instead. If you are not in the world when night falls, she waits for the next night you are. Defeat her, and she returns every full moon (every 8 nights), again 45 metres away. On a multiplayer server, every player gets their own poodle, tracked separately.

HOW SHE HUNTS

1. WAITING - If you look at her within 26 blocks, a hidden timer starts. She walks slowly toward you the whole time. It feels safe, because she looks patient.
2. VANISHING - Around 30 seconds later her body disappears. Only a pair of glowing eyes is left, and it is faster now.
3. APPERARING - When she is within a few blocks she snaps back into view, right in front of you.
4. GRABBING - She catches you. You have a short window to break free: succeed and she throws you clear, stumbles for five seconds and takes extra damage. Fail and she swallows you - four separate hits that ignore armor.

She can also teleport, and she does not get slower at night.

FIGHTING HER

- Staring only buys you time. It never stops the timer, so keep watching her while you move instead of standing still.
- Her roar is a sonic-boom style scream: 10 damage that ignores armor and enchantments. Break line of sight or leave the range.
- The instant after a failed grab is your best opening: she is briefly vulnerable and takes 1.5x damage.
- Wear real armor anyway. Half of her damage goes straight through it.

Stats: 500 health, full knockback resistance, warden-tier true damage. This is a mid-to-late game fight, not an early one.
