Honey Frenzy

Honey Frenzy is a really simple mod that adds a honey-themed armor set, a new combat status effect and a poisonous weapon to Minecraft. Wear the full set to trade mobility for fast regeneration and faster attacks, and use bees, honey and honeycomb as the core of a new progression path.

Honey Armor set

• Helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots crafted from honeycomb and planks. Each piece gives light protection and a small knockback resistance.
• Full set bonus: while you wear all four pieces you get Regeneration, Slowness and the new Honey Frenzy effect. You heal quickly and hit faster, but you move slower.
• The recipes unlock automatically when you pick up honeycomb.

Honey Frenzy effect

• A new beneficial status effect that increases your attack speed.
• You can get it from the full armor set, from the Honey Apple, or by drinking a regular honey bottle.
• Hexagon crosshair: while the effect is active (first person), your crosshair turns into a small hexagon, so you can always tell when the frenzy is running. (I Love it, it is my favorite effect)

Food

• Honey Apple: crafted with 1 apple surrounded by 4 honey bottles. It restores a lot of hunger and gives short Regeneration plus a strong Honey Frenzy.
• Honey Bottle (vanilla): now also gives Honey Frenzy when you drink it, so the normal bottle becomes a useful combat buff.

Bees, stingers and weapons

• Bee Stinger: when a bee hurts something there is a 20% chance it drops a stinger. A new reason to approach bees, and a crafting material.
• Red Stinger: a sword with a fast, strong hit that applies a powerful Poison to whatever it strikes. It has limited durability and cannot be repaired.
• Beekeeper Helmet: while you wear it, bees within 16 blocks stop being angry at you, so you can harvest honey safely. (Add its recipe here.)

New in 1.1.0 (Beta)

• Killer Bee: a hostile orange bee that attacks you unless you wear the Beekeeper Helmet (it still attacks if you get within 4 blocks).
• Queen Bee (boss): a powerful boss with a health bar. It very rarely appears when you kill Killer Bees, and drops Royal Jelly.
• Royal Jelly: a equipment that turns you into de queen.
• Cursed Apple: crafted with 1 apple and 2 stingers. It gives Cursed Frenzy: +50% damage and +50% speed, but nearby animals and villagers attack you.
• Wreath of roses: monsters can only detect you from 3 blocks away.
• Honey Moon: a special night event whose chance grows 5% each night without it.
• Cursed frenzy (effect):  increase damage and speed in exchange for the trust of all mobs.
• New advancements and recipes.

Requirements

• Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader and Fabric API, Java 25.
• Install it on both client and server. The hexagon crosshair is client-side, everything else works from the server.

Notes

Item and effect names are available in English and Spanish. This is a beta version, so some bugs may appear. Feedback and bug reports are welcome.
