What's new
HomeSweetHome 1.9.0
HomeSweetHome 1.9.0 brings ways to earn and protect your coins. It also brings detailed homes and smoother backpack interactions.
Meet the Merchant. The Merchant is a resident available for 1,300 coins. The Merchant moves into your Storage Room. His trading menu mirrors your inventory. This makes it easy to sell items from your bag.
The Smith now buys equipment. The Smith values tools, weapons and armour based on their condition and enchantments. Shared pricing keeps buying and selling balanced. This includes items added by mods.
A new coin pouch is above the slot. The coin pouch holds up to 1,000 coins. The coin pouch stays with you through death. Its contents count toward purchases. Loose coins are spent first.
There is also treasure to find. Additional Overworld urns are available. Clusters are hidden in caves. Urns are throughout the Nether. Mob coin drops now vary by creature. Larger rewards come from enemies and bosses.
Backpacks are easier to wear and place. Crouch-right-click a placed pack to equip it when your chest slot is empty. Crouch-right-click solid ground with hands to set down a worn pack. Names, front-pocket contents and other item data are preserved. This happens through placement, pickup, mining and saving.
Starting a home now lets you choose your prebuilt design before purchasing. New houses have architectural details. Private sleeping alcoves are included. Deeper window sills are part of the design. Roof dormers are added. Planted courtyards are featured. Purchased cellar rooms receive their own floor, wall and ceiling palettes.
This update improves pocket privacy. It hides plots, from Voxy’s distant rendering. It lets all six nebula palettes display correctly with Iris installed. Nebula music. Stops reliably when entering or leaving. Two missing resident voice recordings have been added.
Existing homes and player builds are preserved. Furniture and functional cellar rooms remain purchases.
