Speed Control is a lightweight Forge mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that prevents excessive movement speed from making gameplay difficult to control. Equip the Speed Control Charm in a Curios charm slot and press L to toggle the limiter. When enabled, it caps movement speed at a configurable multiplier of vanilla walking speed while preserving normal sprinting by default. It works with Apotheosis, potion effects, and movement-speed modifiers from other mods without removing or overwriting their attributes. Requires Forge 1.20.1 and Curios API.
