Description
Herobrine AI
A Herobrine horror mod powered by a local AI that learns from the way you play.
Herobrine AI is designed around tension, observation and unpredictability rather than constant jumpscares or a simple hostile mob.
Herobrine can observe aspects of your gameplay, build up local experience over time, predict some of your behavior and use what it learns when deciding how future encounters should happen.
The AI runs locally on your computer or server using Python and PyTorch. Gameplay observations and learned model data are stored locally and are not sent to a cloud AI service.
AI Models
You can choose between six neural model sizes depending on how much performance you want to dedicate to the mod:
| Model | Parameters | Learning scope |
|---|---|---|
| Tiny | 5,923 | Per-world |
| Small | 68,067 | Per-world |
| Medium | 258,163 | Per-world |
Small is the default for new worlds, and Medium is the default for servers.
The larger models use Transformer-based components together with spiking/LIF elements, memory, prediction and reinforcement-learning systems.
Shared models can carry learned neural weights between participating worlds, while world-specific information and player context remain separate.
What to Expect
Herobrine is not simply spawned over and over as a normal Minecraft mob.
The mod maintains a persistent Herobrine identity and uses a mixture of scripted horror systems and learned AI decisions.
The AI can gradually react to patterns in how you move, explore and interact with the world.
Some things are better discovered while playing.
In-Game Commands
Use:
/hb
or:
/herobrine_menu
to open the main Herobrine interface.
From there you can access:
- AI and model status
- Abilities
- Memory controls
- Paranoia information
- Learned habits
- Encounter controls
- Developer diagnostics
There is also:
/herobrine wake
for leaving a Herobrine dream when applicable.
CPU
The AI can run using only:
- CPU
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.2
- Fabric Loader 0.19.5+
- Fabric API for Minecraft 26.2
- Java 25
- Python + PyTorch for the AI runtime
Place the mod JAR in your mods folder and start Minecraft.
Multiplayer
Dedicated-server multiplayer is supported.
The server controls Herobrine, world memory, encounter decisions and neural training, while clients handle rendering and client-side atmosphere effects.
Use the same mod and Fabric API versions on the server and participating clients.
You don't need to know everything Herobrine can do.
Play normally.
The AI will learn the rest.
