What's new
Here to Stay 1.0.0 — Initial Release
Added
- Despawn protection for supported creatures picked up and released with Carry On 2.1.2.7+.
- Reversible protection toggle: each additional pickup and release switches protection on or off.
- Optional Chirpy's Wildlife 2.2 inventory capture/release support, including the same toggle and saved item state.
- Compact action-bar messages for "Despawn protection enabled!" and "Despawn protection disabled!"
- Protection that persists through normal singleplayer world saves and reloads.
- Safeguards for naturally persistent and name-tagged creatures; ordinary deaths and untouched wild mobs remain unchanged.
- Configuration option for Wildlife inventory-release integration, enabled by default.
- Optional Mod Menu configuration screen and a custom embedded mod icon.
- Lightweight pickup/release integration without continuous entity scanning.
Tested Mod Versions
- Carry On 2.1.2.7 (Fabric 1.20.1): Pickup/release on/off toggle confirmed in-game; singleplayer persistence observed after traveling away and rejoining.
- Chirpy's Wildlife 2.2 (Fabric 1.20.1): Inventory capture/release on/off toggle confirmed in-game.
- Tide 2.1.1 (Fabric 1.20.1): In-game compatibility tested alongside Here to Stay; not a required dependency.
- Hybrid Aquatic 1.7.4 (Fabric 1.20.1): In-game compatibility tested alongside Here to Stay; not a required dependency.
Testing scope: Minecraft 1.20.1, Fabric, singleplayer. Testing of Tide and Hybrid Aquatic does not establish that every species and pickup/release combination is supported. Optional Mod Menu display/settings and dedicated-server behavior have not yet been separately verified. Other dependency versions are not claimed as tested.
