Description

Heavy Armaments

Heavy Armaments expands Minecraft’s combat equipment with a broader weapon ladder focused on heavy melee weapons, long spears, compact shields, and additional metal weapon variants.

Features

  • Two-handed greatswords, greataxes, and greatmaces
  • One-handed maces
  • Long spears designed for extended reach and mounted combat
  • Small shields across wood, stone, metal, and higher-tier materials
  • Copper weapon variants
  • Bronze and steel weapon compatibility when the related armor/material mod is installed
  • Survival recipes and recipe-book unlocks for the weapon ladder
  • Custom item textures designed to remain close to the vanilla Minecraft visual style

Weapon Families

Heavy Armaments uses a normalized material structure rather than excessive duplicate wood and stone variants.

The main weapon families include:

  • Greatswords
  • Greataxes
  • Greatmaces
  • Long spears

The standard Heavy Armaments progression includes wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite equipment.

There is compatibility with my armor mod: Expanded Armors which adds two new metals to the game.

Added One-Handed Weapon Variants

Heavy Armaments adds missing one-handed variants where appropriate, including:

  • Copper Sword
  • Copper Axe

There is compatibility with my armor mod: Expanded Armors - which adds two new metals to the game.

Long Spears

The long spears are intended to give players a longer-reaching polearm option, especially for mounted combat. They are separate from ordinary weapons and are meant to support a heavier battlefield style.

Small Shields

The mod also includes small shields, giving players a compact defensive option alongside the larger weapon families.

Backported Spears Credit

Heavy Armaments includes and builds upon the public-domain Backported Spears baseline from CurseForge. That baseline is used as part of the spear system, while Heavy Armaments adds its own longer spear family, heavy weapons, shields, textures, recipes, and material progression.

Compatibility

Built for Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge.

Bronze and steel content is intended to work alongside the related Expanded Armor material set. Heavy Armaments does not independently add bronze or steel ingots.
