Hey you, yes you! Are you wondering what Hearth to Hearth is about?
Ever feel like mass thermally processing items in Minecraft or even in general can feel a bit tedious, hard-to-do, or time consuming? Well, let me give you a little heart to heart, or in this case, a little Hearth to Hearth, because I have to, and that feeling has spawned this mod!
Alright, how does the mod work? What does it add?
The mod adds a Industrial Kiln multiblock, which is upgradeable up to a maximum of 12 levels. However, like a Steam Engine, it can not be interacted with, at least directly like a normal furnace or crafting table, and the Kiln Block is only there for the GUI, which is also Steam Engine styled, giving you the data on things like its level, fuel, exhaust production/smoke, and how many items are inside of it. However, what makes it nice is that the sides are configurable, as you can right click with your wrench to choose which sides take in fuel and inputs, and which output smoke or your output items.
The mod, at least just right now, adds Nickel, a new material, intended for not only materials and resources in this mod and the run-of-the-mill gear set, but also filling a unique role: It can be used in place of Gold to make Netherite, meaning no longer are massive farms necessary to make Netherite, given Nickel can be harvested via the production of Saprolite, which drops massive amounts of Nickel, along with some occasional Iron, when crushed.
Roadmap
Currently, the mod just adds the Industrial Kiln and Nickel (Like the metal), along with things like Graphite, which is used both for the creation of the Refractory Casing, a necessary part in the creation of the Industrial Kiln, but also a source of Diamonds (See Gallery for the actual, specific recipes), and I should add this is not set in stone, things may or may not be added, along with other additions not mentioned, but generally, this is what we have planned for the future of this mod:
Guaranteed or most likely:
-The Addition of General and Critical Metals, which will likely include (Though out of this category, are most likely to shift or change):
- Aluminum
- Cobalt
- Manganese
- Vanadium
- Chromium
- Lead
- Tin
- Beryllium
- Zirconium
- Fluorine
- Mercury
- Chlorine
- Titanium
- Hafnium
-The Addition of Refractory Group Metals, which specifically includes:
- Molybdenum
- Niobium
- Tantalum
- Rhenium
- Tungsten
-The Addition of Platinum Group Metals, which specifically includes:
- Platinum
- Palladium
- Rhodium
- Ruthenium
- Iridium
- Osmium
-More Alloys, like Bronze, Invar, Inconel, and also Superalloys, like Rhenium or Iridium superalloys.
-An EAF (Or Electron Arc Furnace, which is what that stands for if you did not know), which will be necessary for processing and smelting these items, but will only be usable on metals, unlike the Kiln, which can smelt everything, except for things like the Refractory Group Metals, amongst others, given they're too heat resistant in real life to just be melted with conventional furnaces.
-More processes, like mass acidic processing, to leach out metals from stones/ores.
Under Consideration/Unsure:
-Rare Earth Elements, which specifically include:
Light/Monazite Elements:
- Cerium
- Praseodymium
- Neodymium
- Promethium
- Samarium
- Europium
Heavy/Xenotime Elements:
- Dyprosium
- Terbium
- Gadolinium
- Holmium
- Erbium
- Thulium
- Ytterbium
- Lutetium
-Advanced Netherite Alloys, i.e.:
-Platinum and Refractory Group Metals being alloyed with Netherite, given I'm not quite
sure if Netherite is something like a new, unique, superheavy element, or just a
fictional name for an existing element.

This mod could not be possible without duble (The man responsible for many Create: Aeronautics QoL and compatibility addons), and while I will say I have also put my heart and soul into this mod, and Im the one who came up with the idea, he has been not just vital, but the entire reason I could put this mod forth into the Create-Mod Space. To put it simply, while I was the brain and artist, he was undeniably the man holding almost everything else up.
