Heart Containers
A Fabric mod for Minecraft, inspired by the life system of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Features
- Heart Containers. A new item you right-click to use. Each one gives you one piece of a heart.
- 5 pieces = 1 full heart. Every 5 containers you use permanently adds one extra heart (+2 max health), and the new heart comes fully healed.
- Action bar feedback. Each time you use a container, you see how many pieces you have and how many are left for the next heart.
- Inventory heart panel. Open your inventory and a large heart appears next to it, split into 5 sections. Each container fills the next section with a small animation. When you complete all 5, the heart resets to an empty outline, ready to be filled again.
- Keep your hearts. Extra hearts are saved with your character and are kept when you die.
- Fully configurable. Choose the maximum number of extra hearts (default: 9, which means 45 containers). You can also turn on unlimited hearts to keep growing your health as much as you like. Open it from the Mods menu.
- Server friendly. In multiplayer, the server’s configuration decides the limit.
How to get Heart Containers
Heart Containers are found as loot in structure chests, such as:
- Dungeons
- Abandoned mineshafts
- Strongholds
- Desert pyramids and jungle temples
- Ancient cities
- Bastion treasure rooms
- End cities
- Woodland mansions
- Buried treasure
Each of these chests has a chance to contain one. You can keep finding containers even after you reach your limit, but you won’t be able to use them until you raise it in the config.
Requirements
- Fabric API
- Optional: Mod Menu and Cloth Config to edit the settings in-game
This is an unofficial fan-made mod and is not affiliated with Nintendo.
