Hats (Reforged)

Hats (Reforged) is a revival of the classic Hats mod for Minecraft 1.7.10, preserving the original collectible hat experience while fixing several long-standing issues that affected reliability, rendering, and presentation.

The goal of this project is to keep the original Hats experience intact while ensuring it continues to work properly in modern 1.7.10 modpacks.

Fixes & Improvements

Preserved Hat Library

The original Hats mod relied on downloading hat assets from an external source. As those downloads became unavailable, many hats could no longer be obtained correctly.

Hats (Reforged) includes the complete hat collection directly within the mod, ensuring hats are always available without requiring external downloads or online services.

Angelica Rendering Fix

Fixed an issue where hats could randomly become invisible at certain viewing angles when using Angelica and related rendering optimizations.

Hats now render consistently and remain visible regardless of camera angle.

Unlock Notification Improvements

Fixed several visual issues affecting the hat unlock popup:

• Corrected hats rendering outside the bounds of the notification toast
• Fixed inconsistent hat positioning within the popup
• Standardized preview placement so all hats display correctly and consistently

About This Revival

This project focuses on preserving the original Hats mod while addressing issues that accumulated over time.

The core gameplay, progression, and collectible systems remain unchanged. The improvements made are focused on reliability, compatibility, and presentation rather than redesigning the mod.
