Description

IMPORTANT : This mod contains mobs that may trigger the phobias of some people, but all mobs can be disabled via the mod config accessible in the mod list in-game or in .minecraft/config/hatedmobs.cfg (config is not available in 1.1.2 and under)

Creatures

 

Mosquitos : Wakes you up in the middle of the night if you don't protect yourself. They can go through doors and glass. (Original release)

Silk Spiders : These little spiders are friendly and will be your best ally against mosquitos. They live in Infested Leaves Blocks which they sleep in and produce web during the day. (Original release)

Giant Spiders : Rarely seen outside, you will mostly meet them in spider nests. Bigger and stronger than regular spiders, they can spit poison at you. They can be tamed with Spider Candies. (Original release)

Wasps : They live in wasp hives scattered all around the world. Wasps are aggressive towards the player, villagers and animals. Villagers and creepers are afraid of them. Like mosquitoes, you need a swatter to kill them. (1.1.0)

Toads : They are friendly animals that prey on wasps and mosquitos, therefore breeding them will protect you against insects ! Hitting them bare handed will cause you to be poisoned for a short period of time. When killed, they drop a pair of frog legs, eating them raw is dangerous so make sure to cook them before eating ! (1.2.0)

Scorpions : They are aggressive mobs that spawns in the desert at night. (1.3.0)

Red Ants : Red ants are spawned by domesticated anthills with red ant queens inside. They will attack any mob getting too close to the anthill. (1.4.0)

Slugs : They will destroy your crops and can drop slime balls when killed. (1.4.0)

Blocks & Items

 

The Swatter : The Swatter is the only weapon capable of killing mosquitos and wasps. However it is not recommended to use it against other entities as it only deals half a heart. (Original release)

Silk Boots : These boots will prove themselves useful when you come across a silk spider infested forest or a spider nest as they allow you not to be slowed down by webs. (Original release)

Egg Sacks : Egg sacks can be found randomly in the world, they contain spider eggs for you to start your spider breeding ! They can also be used for silk spiders to lay their eggs in when they are placed next to infested leaves. (Original release)

Infested leaves : The home of silk spiders, they can be found in forest among tree leaves and can be harvested with shears. They are essential to keep silk spiders since you can't use their eggs anywhere else. Silk spiders die when you destroy their infested leaves. (Original release)

Web Blocks : Web Blocks are the core material of spider nests. They slow you down but not as much as regular web. You can walk on it normally with silk boots. (Original release)

Nets : Nets allow you to protect yourself against mosquitos at night as they can't go through it. They have to be placed on glass and doors (you can walk and open doors through it). (Original release)

Net Doors : Net Doors are a more fashionable option to protect yourself against mosquitos. They function like regular doors except that mosquitos can't go through them. (Original release)

Anti-mosquito Glass : They are the way to go if you don't want to cover your windows in net as they behave the same way ! (Original release)

Spider Eggs : Used on infested leaves, they spawn silk spiders. You can store up to two silk spiders per infected leaves block. (Original release)

 Wasp Hives : Wasp hives spawns a wasp every minute. Wasps cannot spawn without one so if you destroy the hive, the wasps won't be spawning anymore. However, be careful, destroying it since it will cause 6 wasps to spawn and attack you. (1.1.0)

Giant Spider Fangs : Giant Spiders drop their fangs when they are killed, you can use them as crafting material for a special weapon. (1.2.0)

Giant Spider Fang Swords : This weapon is crafted using Giant Spider Fangs, they deal the same amount of damages as the iron sword and have the durability of a stone sword. Hitting a mob with it will poison it. (1.2.0)

 Dead Mosquitos : Dropped by mosquitos, breeding item for toads (1.2.0)

 Dead Wasps : Dropped by wasps, breeding item for toads (1.2.0)

 Frog Leg : Food Item, it is toxic but can be cooked (1.2.0)

 Cooked Frog Leg : Cooked and non-toxic version of the Frog Leg (1.2.0)

Spider Candies : They  allow you to tame Giant Spiders. (1.3.0)

Red Ant Queen and black Ant Queen: Can be used with domesticated anthills (1.4.0)

Anthills : If near a chest, ants will steal any food item inside. They can be spotted easily thanks to the trails ants leave. Breaking them will drop red and black ant queens. (1.4.0)

Domesticated Anthills : When used with red ant queens they will protect you. Used with black ant queens, they will search for food and seeds. Clicking on it will open an interface to deposit queens and retrieving found items.  (1.4.0)

 

World Generation

 

Spider Nest : Spider Nest are generated in caves underground. Inside you will find multiple egg sacks, a hidden chest with loot inside and a giant spider to guard it all. (Original release)

Egg Sacks : See above. (Original release)

Infested trees : Some trees in forests will have infested leaves with spiders inside. (Original release)

Wasp Hives : See above. (1.1.0)

Spider Forest Biome : The name says it all, spiders !!! (1.5.0)
