🚀 v0.4 - The Ultimate Interface & HUD Overhaul
"A massive update bringing highly-requested visual revamps, new HUD elements, Mount and Villager GUI overhauls, and deep network synchronizations for a truly pixel-perfect, modern experience."
✨ New Features & Improvements
🧭 Locator Bar (HUD)
- Locator Bar Implementation & UI Compatibility: Added full compatibility and integration with the Locator Bar into the mod's interface. The bar is beautifully rendered horizontally at the top of the screen (aligned with the experience bar aesthetic) featuring a renewed layout and custom textures.
- Cardinal Directions: Displays the full compass of cardinal and ordinal points (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW) to help with precise navigation.
- Player Skin Identification & Dynamic Scaling: Replaced generic colored dots with actual player faces! The bar now tracks nearby players using their exact skin. Furthermore, these face icons feature dynamic distance scaling, seamlessly adjusting their size and texture depending on how close or far the player is from you.
- Mods Compatibility: Added initial, out-of-the-box compatibility with the Bannerstone – Lodestone Waypoints mod. Waypoints seamlessly appear as large blue markers on the locator bar, which also dynamically scale based on your distance to them.
🐎 Massive Mount Inventory Overhaul
- Live 3D Rider Previews: When opening the inventory of any mount while riding it, the interface now beautifully renders a 3D preview of your player sitting perfectly on the mount. Every single mount type (Camels, Horses, Llamas, Pigs, Striders, and Happy Ghasts) has been carefully scaled, centered, and aligned for its specific layout.
- Universal Mount GUIs: Mobs that previously lacked custom inventory interfaces (Pigs, Striders, and Happy Ghasts) now have dedicated UI screens. You can seamlessly saddle and unsaddle them just like horses.
- Saddle & Armor Accessibility: You can now access your own player 2x2 crafting grid and armor slots even while mounted (provided the mount doesn't carry a chest, taking up that UI space).
- Dynamic Chest Capacity Indicators: For mounts that accept chests (like Llamas), beautiful new locked/unlocked visual indicators have been added to the inventory rows to clearly communicate how much capacity is available based on the mount's strength level.
⚡ Exhaustion & XP Bar Redesign (Player HUD)
- XP Bar Redesign: The classic experience bar has been beautifully redesigned to visually match and complement the new Exhaustion Bar, creating a cohesive and modern HUD experience.
- Real-Time Energy Tracking: Introduced a new, dynamic Exhaustion Bar rendered just above the experience bar. This bar visualizes the exact depletion of your energy level before your hunger/saturation actually drops!
- Smooth Client Prediction: Full Server-to-Client networking ensures pinpoint accuracy, while advanced client-side prediction means walking, jumping, and attacking instantly deplete the bar smoothly without network lag.
- Disabled State Indication: If you switch to Creative or Spectator mode where exhaustion doesn't apply, the bar seamlessly fades into a custom "disabled" static texture, giving you immediate visual feedback of your current game mode state.
🌾 Villager Trading & Breeding Redesign
- Cohesive UI Bars: Both the Villager's XP bar and the new Willingness bar have been completely redesigned from the ground up to share a unified, polished aesthetic.
- Profession Progression Bars: The Merchant UI now displays custom experience bar textures for each villager level (Novice, Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert). The vanilla post-trade XP prediction remains intact.
- Mastery Texture: Once a villager reaches the maximum level (Level 5), a gorgeous full-width unique texture is displayed to signify absolute mastery of their profession.
- Willingness & Cooldown Tracking: Added a brand new "Willingness Bar" that tracks a villager's internal food inventory (0 to 12 points based on bread/carrots/potatoes/beetroots) needed to breed.
- Post-Breeding Cooldown: Accurately visualizes the 5-minute vanilla breeding cooldown. When a villager recently mated and cannot breed again, the willingness bar is covered by a static "disabled" texture until they are ready.
- Merchant UI Polish: The trading GUI was expanded to match a standard double-chest height (eliminating ghost hitboxes) and fully integrates the player's Offhand slot. Trading buttons now feature 16x16px profession icons, dynamic hover/selected states, and color-coded stock counters (purple for stock, yellow for hover/selection, and faded gray for out-of-stock).
📐 General UI Enhancements
- Advanced Trash Slot System: Introduced a new, safer deletion system to prevent accidental loss of items:
- Delete Item: Standard click to delete a single stack.
- Clear Inventory:
Shift + Clickto clear only your main inventory. - Clear Everything:
Ctrl + Shift + Clickto completely wipe your entire inventory (including the hotbar).
- Dynamic Beacon UI: The Beacon interface now features variable textures to indicate with extreme clarity which power levels are available or locked.
- Mount Jump Bar: Re-aligned and corrected the textures for the horse jump power bar while mounted to ensure it looks flawless.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Creative Search Bar Glitch: Fixed an incredibly annoying vanilla bug in the Creative menu where pressing Backspace would delete two characters per keystroke instead of one.
- Crosshair Overlap: Fixed an issue where the central player crosshair would awkwardly remain visible on screen even after opening specific interfaces.
- Background Dimming Bug: Fixed an inconsistency where the dark background dimming effect wouldn't apply equally or consistently across all interfaces.
