Harder Swimming Mod
The Harder Swimming Mod is a utility designed to control player movement in water, specifically tailored for event hosts and server administrators. It prevents players from swimming freely, ensuring a more controlled and predictable experience during in-game events. This mod is especially useful in scenarios where swimming could give players an unfair advantage or disrupt the flow of an event, such as in obstacle courses, survival challenges, or custom mini-games.
How It Works:
- Sinking Mechanism: When a player enters water that is at least two blocks deep, they automatically start sinking. The mod applies a downward force to the player, preventing them from swimming upwards and escaping.
- Shallow Water Exemption: The sinking effect only activates in water that is two or more blocks deep. If the player is in water that is one block deep or standing on the bottom in shallow water, they will not sink, allowing for natural movement in shallow areas.
- Water Breathing Exception: Players with the Water Breathing status effect will not sink, maintaining their ability to move freely in deep water. A config file for changing this setting will be available in a future update.
- Shallow Water Exemption: The sinking effect only activates in water that is two or more blocks deep. If the player is in water that is one block deep or standing on the bottom in shallow water, they will not sink, allowing for natural movement in shallow areas.
Use Case:
This mod is perfect for creating a controlled environment in Minecraft where swimming is restricted, ensuring fair play and enhancing the challenge in events. Whether you're hosting a competitive survival game or designing an intricate parkour course, the Harder Swimming Mod helps maintain the integrity of your event by limiting players' ability to swim.
