Hardcore HC is a server-side NeoForge mod that brings a true hardcore experience into regular survival worlds. When a player dies, the mod applies strict consequences—either banning the player for a configurable duration or forcing them into spectator mode for a set amount of time.

This allows servers to simulate hardcore gameplay without requiring the world to be in official Hardcore mode and without permanently locking players out unless desired.

Features

Configurable Death Consequences
– Ban Mode: When a player dies, they are banned for a configurable number of seconds (or permanently if set to 0).
– Spectator Mode: On death, the player is forced into spectator mode for a configurable time. After the timer expires, they are restored to survival and teleported to their spawn point.

Automatic Unban / Restoration System
– When a player’s punishment expires, they are automatically unbanned or returned to survival mode.
– A global chat message announces: “<Player> has been unbanned.”

World Filtering
– The mod can be enabled only in specific dimensions or globally across all worlds.

Operator Bypass
– Optionally exclude server operators from hardcore penalties.

Server Commands
– /hardcorehc setDuration <seconds> — changes the punishment duration.
– /hardcorehc getDuration — shows current duration.
– /hardcorehc setMode ban / spectator — switches between Ban Mode and Spectator Mode.

Fully Server-Side
– Players do not need to install the mod on their clients.
– Works in singleplayer as well, since singleplayer uses an internal server.
