Hardcore Torches: Enhanced

Hardcore Torches: Enhanced is a survival lighting overhaul for Minecraft 1.21.11 and 26.1.2.

Based on the original Hardcore Torches mod, this enhanced version brings a more immersive lighting system where torches, lanterns, campfires, and candles are no longer permanent sources of light. Manage your resources carefully, prepare your fuel, and avoid being left in the dark.

This version also introduces new copper lighting variants, improved compatibility, additional mechanics, and numerous bug fixes.

About This Port

Hardcore Torches: Enhanced is an enhanced and maintained version based on the original Hardcore Torches mod.

This project continues and expands upon the original Hardcore Torches concept, adding new features, compatibility improvements, and updates for newer Minecraft versions.

Features

• Torches, lanterns, campfires, and candles burn out over time.
• Candles can be made eternal by using Glowstone Dust.
• Copper torch and lantern variants matching the vanilla copper system:
  • Normal
  • Exposed
  • Weathered
  • Oxidized
  • Waxed variants
• Oil cans for refueling lanterns, crafted from animal fat or coal.
• Bandolier support through Curios, allowing storage of up to 192 torches.
• Rain and water interactions:
  • Torches can smolder in rain.
  • Campfires from this mod can be extinguished by rain.
  • Water extinguishes light sources.
• World generation replacement:
  • Vanilla torches and lanterns are replaced with Hardcore versions.
• Extensive configuration options:
  • Fuel duration.

Newer NeoForge versions may receive ports in the future, but they will remain secondary targets until they have a more established and stable modding ecosystem.
