Description

Hardcore Together

Minecraft 26.3 Fabric Server-only License MIT GitHub

Hardcore for groups. When anyone dies, the world resets for everyone, and every death is remembered in the Death Hall.

Hardcore Together turns a normal server into a shared hardcore run. Everyone plays the same world with one life between them. The moment anyone dies, the run is over: the world is wiped and regenerated live, with no server restart, and the whole group gathers in the Death Hall, where a statue of the fallen player joins everyone who died before.

Only the server needs the mod. Players join with plain, unmodified Minecraft.

How It Works

1. The run. Everyone starts in a fresh world together. Check your progress anytime with /run.

2. Someone dies. No respawn. A countdown warns everyone that the world is about to reset.

3. The Death Hall. Everyone gathers in a safe memorial hall. Every death gets a statue with the player's skin and a plaque telling how they died, and record boards track deaths, runs, and causes.

4. The reset. The world is wiped and regenerated with a new seed, and everyone starts over with nothing.

5. The next run. When the new world is ready, the portal opens. Once everyone steps in, the next run begins.

Your stats, run history, and the Death Hall carry over forever.

Good to know

  • The first death deletes the Overworld, Nether and End. Only install it on a fresh world you're willing to lose.
  • It doesn't use Minecraft's hardcore mode. It's a normal survival world, and the mod handles deaths itself.
  • Difficulty is set to Hard and locked by default. You can change both in the config.
  • Ender chests are wiped on every reset, along with everything else.
  • Players who miss a run's start get the same fresh reset the next time they join.
  • The Death Hall has 36 statue spots. After 36 deaths, an op can add more with /ht hall anchor add statue <number>.
  • Config changes need a server restart.

Installation

Requires: Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader, and Fabric API.

Server (recommended): Put Hardcore Together and Fabric API in your Fabric server's mods folder and start it on a fresh world. Players join with plain vanilla Minecraft. No mods needed.

Single-player: Put both in your mods folder and create a new world.

Commands & Config

Commands for everyone

Command What it does
/run Shows the current run number, its time, and the in-game day.
/stats [player] Shows lifetime stats for you or another player.

Admin commands (op)

Command What it does
/ht status Shows the reset, run and server status.
/ht hall / /ht leave Teleports you to the Death Hall, or back to the Overworld.
/ht reset [seed] Starts a world reset now, with an optional seed.
/ht reset cancel Cancels an admin-started reset. A reset caused by a death can't be cancelled.
/ht run start Starts the next run immediately, skipping the portal.
/ht runs list Lists finished runs.
/ht runs delete <n> confirm Deletes a finished run and rebuilds stats.
/ht stats rebuild Recalculates everyone's stats from the run history.
/ht fresh-start confirm Wipes all history and stats and resets the world, so the next run is #1.
/ht test-death <player> [cause] Records a test death. Only works if allow_test_deaths is on.

There are also hall-building tools under /ht hall, for adding statue spots, moving the record boards, setting up the portal, and backing up or restoring the hall.
