Hardcore Revival Fix
A Forge 1.12.2 addon for Hardcore Revival that fixes issues with player positioning, dimensions, and bed spawn points after being revived.
The Problem
Hardcore Revival's RescueHandler.finishRescue revives players using recreatePlayerEntity, triggering vanilla's respawn mechanics and potentially causing several issues:
Dimension Issues: Players revived in the Nether, End, or other dimensions may be sent to the Overworld, their bed, or the world's spawn point.
Mod Compatibility: Other mods may reposition players during respawning, overriding the original mod's intended position.
Bed Spawn Issues: Hardcore Revival uses setSpawnPoint, which only affects the Overworld and can cause bed spawn points to be lost or corrupted when reviving players in other dimensions.
Features
Position Restoration: Returns revived players to their original dimension and position at the end of the same server tick, moving them out of blocks if necessary.
Easier Reviving: You can now revive players even while holding usable items, such as shields or food, which would normally interrupt the revival process.
Realistic Reviving Range: Players can now only be revived by directly targeting their hitbox, instead of being revived from the long block reach allowed by the original mod.
Revival Detection: Distinguishes revivals from genuine deaths, leaving timeout deaths, void deaths, and voluntary surrender unaffected.
Position Tracking: Saves the dimension, position, and bed spawn points of downed players every tick.
Compatibility Checks: Rechecks and corrects the player's position for three additional ticks to counter interference from other mods.
Bed Restoration: Restores bed spawn points in both the Overworld and the player's original dimension.
