Raise the stakes of survival to the next level. This mod introduces a brutal twist to hardcore: every time a player dies, the entire world is erased and a brand new one is generated, without ever closing your game or your server.
Whether you're playing solo, running a challenge with friends, or hosting a community server, Hardcore Purge World makes every single life count. Die once, and everything you built vanishes forever.
✨ Key Features
- Total World Wipe: The Overworld, the Nether and the End are all erased and regenerated with a fresh seed after every death. Inventory, advancements, experience and spawn point start from zero.
- The Limbo: While the world is rebuilt, everyone waits in a calm, empty dimension. A title shows who died and a progress bar follows each step of the reset.
- Death Music: Drop one or more
.oggfiles into.minecraft/death/and a random one plays at every death. It has its own volume slider in Options > Music & Sounds. - Safe Reset System: If any step fails, the reset is cancelled without erasing anything, or the players are rescued. A built-in startup check disables the resets if Minecraft changes internally, instead of risking your world.
- Custom Mob Names: Rename any mob through the config file and reload it live, no restart needed.
🛠️ Commands (operators only)
/hpw onand/hpw off: enable or disable the resets. The state is saved per world./hpw status: shows the current state./hpw reload: reloads the config and updates mob names on the spot.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 or 26.3 on Fabric (needs Fabric API), NeoForge or Forge.
- Install it on the server. Players without the mod can still join, they just won't hear the death music.
