Hamster Robots 1.5.12
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Hamster Robots 1.5.12 for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge 47.4 or newer). Handshake Strike fixes from playtesting. Multiplayer: the server (including an e4mc/LAN host) and every player must use 1.5.12 (network protocol 10; 1.5.11 players cannot join). Worlds and configs from 1.5.11 work as they are (new settings are added with their defaults). Everything else is unchanged.
HANDSHAKE STRIKE FIXES
- The white flash at the blast now shows for the pilot and for every viewer.
- The robot you pilot now really turns and moves in the cinematic. Your own game was overriding it, which made the sword stab miss and kept the robots from facing each other.
- Sword stab: the blade now goes right through the zombie (red hit flash, sparks), shown in a close side shot.
- Kick: a clear wind-up and kick at foot height, an impact burst, then the zombie flies high into the air.
- Speaker Hims grab: it holds the zombie out with both arms and swings it round four full turns while climbing on its jetpack.
- Handshake: lasts 5 s (reach out, pause, grip, then a held shake). The robots step to the right distance so their hands really meet, with sparks while they shake.
- Helicopter Hims come in from about 110 blocks away, so you can watch them approach. They are about 1.75x bigger.
- The Mothership Hims is twice as big. It flies in from far away and gives off a big energy swirl of sparks while it charges for 5 s.
- The blast's fireball and rings fade out gradually over 5 s from the moment of the blast.
- The Mothership's laser is now a big, bright, glowing beam from the ship to the blast point, visible to everyone (pilot, viewers, players who skipped), whatever the distance or particle setting.
- The joined hands stay steady during the handshake (no arm swing or wobble).
- The flying zombie is now a husk, so it no longer catches fire in daylight.
- Every beat of the opening cinematic is longer and easier to follow. The opening cinematic now lasts 26.75 s and the whole event 51 s. The music was re-timed to match: it still hits hard on the handshake and on the blast.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
- The blast now also hits players who did not run: 200 damage within the 50-block radius (can kill), and every other Hamster Robot / Speaker Hims in the radius takes 200 too. The two robots doing the Handshake Strike and their pilots are always safe; mobs are hit as before and no blocks are ever broken. Robots that survive are still fully repaired at the end. Settings: handshakeStrikeHitsPlayersAndRobots (true), handshakeStrikePlayerDamage (200). Protection of viewers in the second cinematic now ends just before the blast.
- During the whole event (trigger to end, countdown included) no mob can damage players or robots in the area (cutsceneViewerRange around the strike).
- Upgraded robots (Hamster Robot and Speaker Hims) now have 200 max HP (was 100). Already upgraded robots are raised automatically, keeping their HP percentage. Setting: upgradedRobotMaxHealth (200).
- Light passive armor on both robots: mob damage (melee and ranged) is reduced by 25%. The Handshake Strike blast is not reduced. Setting: robotMobDamageFactor (0.75).
