Guns & Blades is a modern weapons and melee combat mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 + Fabric, featuring guns, katanas, a combat knife, weapon attachments, rarities, skins, loot crates and fast-paced combo combat.

Fight your way through Minecraft with 11 unique firearms, master the katana's three-hit combo, collect rare and mythic weapons, customize your arsenal with attachments and skins, and carry your favorite weapon visibly on your back.

Every weapon, model, texture and sound has been designed specifically for the mod.

🔫 Firearms

Guns & Blades currently includes 11 different firearms:

• Pistol

• Revolver

• SMG

• Assault Rifle

• Light Machine Gun

• Semi-Auto Rifle

• Sniper Rifle

• Energy Pistol

• Pump Shotgun

• Bazooka

🎯 Gunplay

• Aim Down Sights with right click.

• Shoot with left click.

• Automatic weapons fire continuously while holding the button.

• Headshots deal additional damage and trigger a hitmarker and hit sound.

• Punchy, spring-based recoil system.

• Fully animated first-person arms for every weapon.

• Unique reload animations depending on the firearm:

  • Magazine swaps and slide racks

  • Charging handles

  • Bolt actions

  • Shell-by-shell shotgun loading

  • Pump animations

  • Revolver speed-loaders

  • Rocket loading

🔧 Attachments

Press G to access weapon attachments and skins.

Available attachments include:

• Reflex Sight

• Holographic Sight

• Scope

• Suppressor

• Compensator

• Extended Magazine

• Fast Magazine

Every firearm uses its own ammunition type, which can be crafted at the Gun Workbench.

⚔️ Blades & Melee Combat

Guns aren't your only option.

🗡️ Katana

The katana features a dedicated melee combat system:

• Held with both hands.

• Right click activates your guard.

• Guarding can deflect bullets coming from the front.

• Three-hit combo:

  1. Diagonal slash

  2. Wide sweep

  3. Vertical cut

⚔️ Dual & Triple Katana

Want even more speed?

Equip a katana in each hand to unlock the dual-katana style, alternating attacks between both blades while attacking faster.

You can even equip a third katana in the helmet slot, holding it in your mouth.

The triple-katana style provides:

• Even faster attacks

• Increased damage

• Green glowing blade tips

🔪 Combat Knife

The combat knife is fast and deadly at close range.

Attacking an enemy from behind deals bonus damage.

💨 Arc-Based Melee Combat

Melee attacks use an arc-based hit system:

• Each swing can hit multiple enemies.

• Damage is applied as the blade passes through the attack arc.

• Hold the attack button to chain attacks into combos.

🎁 Loot & Progression

Weapons aren't all created equal.

⭐ Weapon Rarities

Weapons can appear in four rarities:

• Common

• Rare

• Epic

• Legendary

Higher rarities can provide improved:

• Damage

• Magazine capacity

• Reload speed

• Accuracy

🌌 Mythic Weapons

Two extremely rare Mythic weapons can only be obtained from Arsenal Chests.

🕳️ Singularity Cannon

An alien sniper capable of creating a black hole at the point of impact.

🌑 Umbral Blade

A mysterious dark blade that can be thrown as floating blades.

Press Z to launch all available Umbral Blades at once.

🎰 Arsenal Chests

Arsenal Chests can spawn inside villages and other structures.

Opening one starts a roulette animation that randomly selects a weapon.

You can also find weapons through:

• Structure chests

• Bosses

• Rare zombie drops

🎨 Weapon Skins

Customize your arsenal with a large collection of weapon skins.

Each weapon has 15 different skins, distributed across 4 rarities.

Skins are obtained from crates, which feature their own roulette animation.

🎒 Weapon Sling

Don't want to keep your weapon in your hand?

Craft the Weapon Sling and equip it in its dedicated slot.

It does not occupy an armor slot.

Press B to:

• Put your weapon on your back.

• Instantly draw it again.

Weapons carried on your back are visible to other players, making it easy to show off your favorite arsenal.

📦 Requirements

• Minecraft 1.20.1

• Fabric Loader 0.14.21+

• Fabric API

The mod supports both singleplayer and multiplayer servers.

For multiplayer, Guns & Blades must be installed on both the client and the server.

🧱 Block Breaking

Guns do not break blocks by default.

Server operators can enable gun block breaking with:

🛠️ About the Mod

I designed, directed and tested Guns & Blades from the ground up.

Most of the code, models and textures were created with the assistance of an AI assistant (Claude), while the mod's gameplay, direction and development were handled by me.

All screenshots shown on this page are real in-game captures.

Cada arma utiliza su propia munición, que puede fabricarse en la Mesa de Armas.

⚔️ Katanas y combate

Las katanas se utilizan a dos manos, pueden bloquear y desviar balas de frente, y cuentan con un combo de tres golpes.

También puedes utilizar:

• Dos katanas para atacar más rápido.

• Tres katanas, colocando una tercera en el casco y sujetándola con la boca.

• Cuchillo de combate con daño adicional por la espalda.

• Sistema de combate en arco capaz de golpear a varios enemigos.

⭐ Rarezas y botín

Las armas pueden ser:

Comunes · Raras · Épicas · Legendarias

También existen dos armas Míticas extremadamente raras:

• Cañón de Singularidad — un francotirador alienígena capaz de crear agujeros negros.

• Hoja Umbría — una espada oscura capaz de lanzar hojas flotantes.

Los Cofres de Arsenal aparecen en aldeas y otras estructuras y utilizan una ruleta para seleccionar el arma obtenida.

También puedes encontrar armas en cofres de estructuras, derrotando bosses y, ocasionalmente, al matar zombis.

🎨 Skins

Cada arma dispone de 15 skins, divididas en 4 rarezas.

Las skins se obtienen mediante cajas con una animación de ruleta.

🎒 Bandolera

La Bandolera se equipa en su propio espacio y no ocupa un hueco de armadura.

Pulsa B para guardar el arma en la espalda o sacarla instantáneamente.

Las armas guardadas son visibles para los demás jugadores.
