This mod is an extension for Gunpowder to provide a way for users to skip through the night without needing everyone to sleep.
it would be cool if you could do like /sv or /sleepvote to start a vote if the time should change to the opposite what it is at that time like the timevote plugin
I encountered a bug using this mod which (I think) corrupted the level.dat file, resetting all the gamerules every time I left a world and joined it back
Does the mod send out a message to chat that someone slept? Such as, "Goodnight, [Username of player who slept]." If so, is it configurable? Also, does the mod affect how weather works in-game?
It does not affect weather from vanilla behavior (i.e. sleeping during rain causes sleep to go away), but there is no message that someone is sleeping. Essentials for Fabric does have this feature, however.
In reply to Martmists:
Thanks for the response. I had some trouble finding the mod you mentioned and it seems as though "Essentials for Fabric" has been rebranded to "Gunpowder." I will try out the mod and hopefully, it will fit my needs.
Do everyone on the server need this mod, or is it just the host?
Just the host, though I recommend using Essentials for Fabric instead as I won't be updating this anymore.
What does Essentials do? is it the same as this mod?
It's a server-oriented, modular utilities mod, similar to Bukkit Essentials or EssentialsX but with more features and for Fabric. It works on both the server and the client.
Any chance we can get some functionality to also adjust the default sleep time? Great mod regardless :P
ok, I just downloaded the Essentials for Fabric and the Essentials Base now per your instructions. I tried sleeping while my son was in-game not sleeping. Doesn't seem to be working bro. What am I missing?
Having the same issues - doesn't seem to work for MC 1.16.1I'm not sure what to do to activate it. I only have 2 players on my server. I haven't changed or did anything at this point because I saw default settings would work. I have libgamerule as it is shown in the dependency area. Not sure If need to do anything. I do have your latest version as of July 5th, The latest Fabric and Fabric API mods installed. Any suggestions?
As stated before: "This code has now been included in Essentials for Fabric in the Utilities module."
Doesn't seem to work on my 1.16.1 server. The gamerule is there, no errors in the server log. But sleeping is the same as vanilla minecraft unless I set the gamerule to 0, which just makes it continually skip. Setting it to anything else (0.1, 0.5, 50, 1, 10) just reverts back to vanilla behaviour. Not sure what to do.
You issues/source page doesn't load, btw. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR
This code has now been included in Essentials for Fabric in the Utilities module.
should probably mention that in the desc :P
It was working perfectly until after a player sleeps around 3 times. stops working after that and spams the server log with Player is now sleeping
Sounds like an oversight, I'll fix it in a minute.
Installed in 1.16.1 server, but when i used /gamerule sleepRequiredPercent 0 The days starts skiping one after another without stopping
This is because 0 people are sleeping, and because 0% of anything is 0, it will skip every tick. I recommend setting it to 1 instead.
make sure that NEXT time you make a mod, you put [Fabric] before it. I don't like getting baited for a minecraft mod that isn't FORGE.
