Guhs 1.7.0 (Minecraft 26.1.2)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Mining in the Guhmension used to mean digging through an endless sea of pink wool. Not any more: under the wool there is now a whole plush underground, with stone layers, ores, caves, cave biomes, buildings, a villager town and five cave minigames, plus a prettier surface, an enchanting altar of our own and a lot of mining helpers. Everything new in the land only grows in new chunks: worlds are not reset, so go exploring a little further out.
Under the wool
- Stone layers (Knuffel-lagen): pink wool on top, then viltsteen (Felt Stone, with polished, bricks, tiles, chiseled, stairs, slabs and walls), knuffelsteen (Snugglestone, finally in bulk, with pink veins and pastel stripes), guhkristalsteen deep down and the unbreakable knuffelnaad (Plush Seam) at the bottom. The borders wave and follow the land, under every Guhmension biome.
- Ores per layer: every vanilla ore and the guh ores (vads, kaasknabbel, kaaskorrel and the new pigmenterts for pastel dyes) have a version in each stone layer; deeper is richer. New: guhklei (clay balls for bricks, the block bakes into pink terracotta for the Bouwhulp roofs and plaster) and the rare Vahoegiet, only deep in the guhkristalsteen and in geodes.
- Caves: winding tunnels, big cheese-hole halls and now and then a gigantic one, plush heart geodes, sauce lakes and sauce falls, cave ponds with a glowing rim, little waterfalls and, in a quarter of the underground, a deep sauszee of warm cheese sauce.
- Six cave biomes: the Glitterspelonk (glitter vines, glow moss, glitter berries, glimwormpjes), the Pluisgrot (fluff cushions you bounce on), the Slaapgrot (wild guhs asleep: pet them awake), the Knuffelwortelgrot (under forests), the Belletjesgrot (crystals that each play their own note: tap a tune) and the Kristalpegelgrot (pink crystal icicles; mind your head). Each has its own cheerful cave music, and the scary vanilla cave sounds are gone from the Guhmension.
- Nothing hostile under the ground: monsters no longer spawn by themselves in the Guhmension's caves. Instead: wild guhs, the rare sparkly Grotguh, the Molguh that pops up out of the stone and sometimes leaves something behind, and glimwormpjes.
- Op command:
/guhs grot <naam>finds the nearest cave biome of a kind (vanilla/locate biomemisses the thin cave layers).
Buildings under the ground
- About twenty new buildings in caves of their own, common, now and then or rare: from an abandoned guh mine with a random tunnel network to a cuddle dormitory, a mushroom village with houses in the caps, a bathhouse full of warm sauce, a secret cave disco, a giant guh fossil, a surprise party and a huge, very rare old guh temple. With signs, residents, loot, unique deco and here and there guh clothes.
- Het Mijnguhdorp: the Mijnguh's village around a warm sauce lake, always one between about 300 and 1000 blocks from the middle of a new world, with a cloud lift up to a little hut above ground.
- Het Vadsmijnstadje: an underground town of real guh villagers in a big cave hall, with a Guhrad-centrale on the square.
- The old underground buildings (guh caves, the kaasmijn and the others) now stand in the stone of their depth.
Guh villagers
- A new, cuter guh villager model for grown-ups and children, in both kinds of villages (their trades stay).
- Four new professions: the Toverguh (Spreukjesboekjes), the Vadsmonteur (vadskracht machines), the Mijnwerker (layer stones, guhklei, dye; buys ores) and the Kristalslijper (crystal blocks), each with a workstation of its own.
- De IJzerguhlem: guh villagers summon a fluffy pink Iron Guhlem instead of an iron golem, by the same rules (iron farms keep working). It drops iron and pluisgras.
- Pick up villagers: sneak + right-click with an empty hand picks up any villager, vanilla or guh, with its profession, trades and name.
Enchanting the guh way
- Het Glinsteraltaar (Glitter Altar): the guh enchanting table, powered by knuffelboekenkasten (Cuddle Bookshelves). The useful vanilla enchantments plus guh spells, for lapis and levels.
- Eight guh spells: Mika-mepper, Pluisval, Glitterzicht, Vadsvlijt, Bakvads, and (only as a book, from the Toverguh or chests) Spaarguhtje, Aaizacht and Kaasknabbelgeur. They come as Spreukjesboekjes, the guh enchanted book.
- Unbreaking and mending are never offered for unbreakable gear such as vahoege vads.
Mining helpers
- De Vahoege Vadsknakker: pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe and shears in one, with a smart right-click.
- Super vahoege vads: the netherite step of vads gear, with a Vahoegietstaaf and a rare template from the deepest buildings. All in the Guhmension: no Barbecuether trip needed.
- Wolkenliftje (Cloud Lift): jump to float up to the next one, sneak to go down. Pluisladder: a rope ladder that unrolls down to the floor by itself. Mijnlampje: a helmet lamp that lights up the dark around your guh.
- Mijn-guhhuisje: help the Mijnguh (quest Mijnguh-hulpje) and get a little house where up to four of your guhs slowly mine out an area you set with sliders, into a chest or a Bank Guh. With a Rugzakzadel a guh carries endless plain ground blocks.
Five cave minigames
- Schatgraven, Glimwormvangen, De Lichtjespuzzel, Karretjes-wissels and De Kegelgrot (real guh bowling), each in a hall deep under a little hut with a Wolkenliftje down. Every game has its own coin (they all work in the claw machine too), a shop with guh clothes, building blocks and deco, highscores in the Guhdex and a top 3 board. The Superkompas finds them in its Minigames tab.
Chonk power you can see
- De Vadslamp (Chonk Lamp): a guh lantern that burns on 1 chonk power: light level 15, and invisible extra light up to about 6 blocks around it, so one lamp lights up a whole cave (never through walls; the light goes when the power goes or the lamp breaks). Recipe: a lantern with two Guhdraad and two glowstone dust; quest "Light with a Little Snoot" in Project 1.
- De Vadsschakelaar (Chonk Switch): a switch you put in a line of Guhdraad (a lever on Guhdraad): on, the chonk power goes through; off, everything behind it sleeps.
- De Guhtechniek-beurs (Guh Technology Fair): a protected glass exhibition hall on the land of the Guhmension where every part of Guh Technology has a working stand: the sources (the Glowstar Core too), Knabbelbuizen with a Filter Piece and sensors, every machine, every fluid machine and a Scooter Station. Every stand has a sign with its chonk power, a Chonk Switch and a standhouder guh with a joke and the quest that teaches you to build it; in the middle the Droomfabriek (Dream Factory) turns cheese nibble plants into fried nibbles and vahoege potions. Looking is fine, taking is not. There is always one 800 to 1500 blocks from the middle of the world, in new terrain, and now and then a rare copy; the Superkompas finds it (tab Knus). New quest "At the Guh Technology Fair".
- Chonk power in the buildings: setups that really run, each with a sign "Dit is een ... op N vadskracht" and a lever that gives the building's guh a break (the setup stops):
- Het Vadsmijnstadje: the Guhrad-centrale has two Guhraden back to back (30 chonk power) for 18 Vadslampen along the streets (one guh on a break is too little: every lamp goes out), the Kristalslijper's glasslijperij (a Vadsmolen grinds gravel to sand, a Guhoven bakes it into glass) and an ertslijn at the ore depot (a cart of raw ore over a hopper into a Guhoven, into the miners' chest). The town is not protected, so it only shows the early machines.
- The five cave minigame halls: a Guhrad per hall for the lights and two scoreboard lamps by the host; the games never need the power. In De Kegelgrot the Kegelzetter (Pin Setter), a bridge over the end of the lanes, sets a fresh rack with sparks and a clack; without power its sign says "pauze" and De Guhde sets the pins by hand, so the game keeps working.
- Kaasmakerij De Gouden Saus and the Oude wolspinnerij: the dairy's pump house (two Guhraden, Sauspompen filling eight Sausvaten, a Guhoven grilling saté) and the spinnery's power station (three Guhraden, four mills in the spinning circles, a Guhoven at the tea table).
- New copies of older buildings: the Guhbakkerij on the guh village square (a Guhoven baking potatoes, a Vadsmolen grinding knabbelgraan), the kaasmijn's pump hall (two Sauspompen filling five Sausvaten, a Knabbelaar gnawing a kaasader that grows back, the kaasbrokken through a Knabbelbuis into a chest), in the Barbecuether the Spieskeuken of the spiesburcht (two Guhovens grilling saté and a Vadsmolen), the kitchen of the grillpaleis (a Guhoven and a Sauspomp on frituursaus) and the Grillkoolfabriek in the courtyard of the woonblokken (two Guhraden, pumps on frituursaus and water, the Grillkoolpers and the Frituurautomaat), and the farm's harvest corner (an Oogster over a wheat field and a Plantagebak whose tree the farm's klusjes-guhs chop). Buildings already in your world stay as they are.
More new things
- Guh golf: 18 holes. New golf courses get a back 9, "Rondje Guhmension", with moving obstacles, ramps, loopings and the Big Guh Mouth; it opens once you play the front 9 at par. More golf balls per hole, a golf shop with building blocks and deco, and a golf trophy for all 18 at par. Existing courses keep their 9 holes.
- Voetjes (Feet): a seventh wardrobe slot, with pluisslofjes, regenlaarsjes, golfschoentjes, mijnwerkerslaarsjes, kaassauslopers (tame guhs walk over every cheese sauce) and lavalopers (also over lava).
- A more cheerful surface: a quilt of pastel wool, felt gravel, flower meadows, wool boulders, ponds, little waterfalls, fairy rings, fallen logs, brooks from spring to spring, pink beaches, little islands, a cheese patchwork, heart lakes, rainbow hills and the rare new Bloemenvallei (Flower Valley) biome. Softer pastel evening skies, too.
- The Barbecuether has no lava any more: everything is kaasfrituursaus, and that is harmless now. Lava in chunks that already exist turns into sauce when they load (no reset).
- Bigger terraria: build terrariumglas or the new terrariumbodem onto a terrarium in any shape and the critters roam all of it.
- Rookguh-platform: finish the Knabbelring journey for a landing place of your own, in any world. From it the Rookguh flies you to every place of your journey, or to the Super Guhrio castle once you finished world 1-1. Players who already finished get it at their next login.
- Safari: entering the park (or logging in there) without a safari camera gives you a new one; the disguised guh stands on the real ground and can be clicked through tall grass.
- FTB Quests: a new chapter Onder de Wol. Wiki: pages for everything above, and every new block you can use has a "Zo werkt het".
Bug fixes
- Enchantment tooltips: a book or item with a guh enchantment now explains what the enchantment does.
- Fences, panes, walls and garlands connect properly in every building: fences, walls, glass panes, bars and gates join their neighbours, and the vlaggetjes, feestslingers and seizoensslinger hang along their row, now also in buildings that are placed turned.
- Kaasmakerij: the stairs go up to the platform.
- Cave minigame halls are reachable in survival: only the hall itself (and its hut) is protected, not the rock around it, and every hall has extra entrances with a door, so digging over from a cave works too. The huts above stand on the ground (some floated).
- Mine entrance huts: the roof is whole (stairs on the wall top, a ridge), the doors are free (no barrel in the doorway) and the building tries more spots, so its hut is surely there.
