Mob Group Chat Phone

Give Minecraft’s mobs a phone and a group chat of their own. Open the compact, yellow-and-white chat UI with P, read AI-generated conversations, and jump in with your own messages. Mobs can reply to one another, react to what you say, and complain when you leave them waiting.

Chat features

• AI-generated mob messages shaped by the recent conversation.

• A smaller phone-style interface with a live trip map and pixel-art mob portraits.

• Emoji, replies, and photo sharing through your computer’s file picker.

• Photos appear as tiny thumbnails in the chat. Images and filenames stay on your computer and are not sent to the AI.

Ask mobs for help

Ask a Villager for the nearest village’s coordinates, or ask an available nearby mob to come to you, follow you briefly, wait, or attack a nearby hostile mob. You can also ask a mob to escort you to a village or take you toward coordinates you provide.

For a ride, the mob comes to pick you up, then steers toward the destination while you ride. The phone map shows the mob and destination. On the way, it can clear some softer blocks or place dirt to cross gaps; terrain changes are limited, and blocks containing fluids or block entities are left alone.

Mobs may accept or decline a job, and some may ask for a bribe. If you agree, drop the requested supported item near the mob after the job. Skip the payment, and the mob may get angry and try to attack.

Jobs are limited to the supported actions, and the server checks that the selected mob is available and within your render distance. The mod does not let the AI run commands, teleport, or perform arbitrary actions.

Requirements and privacy

Requires Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader, and Fabric API. For multiplayer, install the mod on both the client and server.

AI replies require an OpenAI API key in your client’s config/mobphone.properties file, or the OPENAI_API_KEY environment variable. Chat text and recent conversation context are sent to OpenAI to generate replies; photos are not uploaded. API usage may incur charges.
