🚗 GroundZero Racing — Vehicle Damage & Mechanic Update

A major expansion to GroundZero's vehicle system is here!

🔧 VEHICLE DAMAGE & REPAIRS

• Vehicles can now take real component damage from crashes

• Individual damage for:

  • Engine

  • Body

  • Front Left Wheel

  • Front Right Wheel

  • Rear Left Wheel

  • Rear Right Wheel

• Damage severity depends on the impact

• Small bumps cause little/no damage

• Damaged vehicles gradually become less reliable

• A completely broken engine, body or wheel can disable the vehicle

• Damaged vehicles can produce smoke

🛠️ NEW VEHICLE REPAIR SYSTEM

Using a Vehicle Repair Kit on a damaged car now opens the new Vehicle Repair UI.

The UI shows:

• Current condition of every vehicle component

• Which parts are damaged

• Exact durability percentages

• Which replacement part is required

• Individual component selection

Choose what you want to repair and complete the 1 → 2 → 3 timing minigame to finish the repair.

⚙️ NEW VEHICLE PARTS

New repair items have been added:

• 🔩 Engine Parts

• 🛡️ Body Parts

• 🛞 Spare Wheels

• 🧰 Vehicle Repair Kit

Engine Parts and Body Parts are craftable and available through JEI.

Repair Kits have limited uses, making vehicle maintenance an actual part of owning a car.

👨‍🔧 CAR MECHANIC JOB (GroundZero Server Only)

The Mechanic profession now includes a dedicated Car Mechanic branch.

• Unlocks at Mechanic Level 5

• Car Mechanics receive repair equipment while on duty

• Mechanics receive a temporary service vehicle

• Repair damaged player vehicles

• Complete the repair minigame

• Earn money for successful repairs

• Higher mechanic levels increase repair payouts

• Duty equipment and the service vehicle disappear when clocking out

Players can still repair their own vehicles using crafted equipment, but using a mechanic provides a proper player-driven repair service.

👥 PASSENGER SYSTEM

Cars now support two players inside the vehicle itself.

No trailer workaround is required anymore — one player drives while another player can ride as a passenger.

🚙 VEHICLES NOW MATTER

Cars are no longer just transportation.

Crashes, vehicle condition, replacement parts, repairs and mechanics are now connected into one complete gameplay loop — creating another player-driven service and economy inside GroundZero.
