Gristle

A very simple mod for 1.7.10 forge that adds Gristle - a skinless zombie who stalks players but gets aggressive if looked at for too long or approached.

Behaviour

A gristle can spawn naturally and is as rare as a witch. But to enable that, config gotta be changed. You can also spawn a gristle with a spawn egg.

A gristle can detect a player and choose to stalk them from up to 32 blocks away, if it sees one.

Then, it will approach, but keep distance of 6.7 blocks. The gristle is neutral at this stage.

Approaching the gristle will make it back away, but going within 5 blocks of it will cause the gristle to aggro. Looking at the grisle for 5 seconds will also cause it to go berserk. A red transparent overlay will darken on the screen during the "staring"

A gristle has doubled hitspeed and 50% increased walkspeed if the player its chasing is 16 blocks far.

Resources

The gristle's skin and sounds were supplied by @calum_80399 (a.k.a. STAPLE) on discord, who has commisioned the mod.

Be warned, the sounds the gristle makes are extremely loud.

Config

The config file allows you to disable or enable natural spawning, and to disable or enable the red overlay staring screen. You can also edit other customisable details.
