GrinnsRPG - Stats, Levels, Perks, and More!

Unlisted
A new take on Minecraft's progression system using a mix RPG elements and custom systems such as Titles and Perks!

This mod is specifically created for the GrinnsRPG modpack, using it standalone will not work properly for the time being and is HIGHLY not recommended.

This mod aims to change how you gain strength in Minecraft, using a combination of familiar RPG elements like Levels and Stats along with custom systems like Titles, Perks, the Shop, and Quests. All packaged into a custom series of interactive GUIs.

                                                                             This mod features...

- A new "Stats Hub" interface, this GUI not only serves as the main hub for most features this mod comes with, but also shows you your levels, progress to level up, prestige count, stat counts, and your available points to spend. Your stats are divided into eight types: Strength, Defense, Vitality, Agility, Dexterity, Intellect, Stealth, and Luck. Each point into a stat type increases certain attributes available to you by small percentages, and these points can be allocated however you see fit!

- Titles, one of the new ways to strengthen yourself in combat. Unlock a title via completing its task, purchasing in the shop, or as a reward for completing certain quests. Not only do you gain the benefits that come with equipping a title, but these are also displayed to other players around you (just below your nameplate). By completing the task listed after unlocking the first tier, Titles can also be upgraded! Upgrading titles provides you with not only a new title name, but also strengthens the benefits that already came with it, maybe even adding another bonus too!

- Perks, another way to make yourself more powerful in combat, but also very useful for utility. These aren't just flat attribute bonuses, they are situation specific bonuses that can help both during combat and usual day-to-day activities as you play! These can be unlocked after prestiging, purchasing in the shop, or after completing certain quests; and to equip them you just drag and drop the unlocked perk's slot into an empty slot on either side of the GUI. Once equipped, there is an indicator that appears on the top right of your screen that will display what state your equipped perks' abilities are currently in. This can be: Inactive (or Passive), Active, Stacks built, Buildup progress, or Cooldown timer (in seconds).

- The Shop, this introduces a new Coin mechanic to the game. The shop is of course mainly for purchasing different materials, weapons, stats, titles, and perks. You can obtains coins by killing mobs, completing quests, or using coin bundles sometimes found in loot chests!

- Quests, a simplified GUI that displays the quests that are available within the mod. Each entry displays the quest's title, progress, and pinned status. When selected, there's a preview on the right side that tells you what the quest is asking you to do in order to complete it, as well as showing how far along you are in the quest's line (as indicated by the stars below the quest title). When a quest is completed and has a reward to claim, the quest is sorted to the top of the list and prompts you that it is ready to be claimed. Quest progress will not continue until the quest reward is claimed! Once an entire quest-line has been completed, it will be sorted to the bottom of the list and labeled "Completed".

- Loadouts, a feature I will implement sometime in the near future.

Addition changes and tweaks
- Jumping hits no longer guarantee critical attacks, crits are now entirely handled by the Critical Damage and Critical Chance attributes this mod provides (which mostly is used by the Luck stat or certain equipment qualities).

- Players are now limited to only 2 pets with a 20HP limit, this is increased by unlocking and upgrading the Tamer title. This can also be bypassed using a "Pet Tamer Token" dropped by mobs in 5 star areas with a very low % chance of dropping.

- Damage reduction is divided into 4 layers: Stats/Origin bonuses, Armor/Armor enchants/Armor qualities, Perks and Titles with damage reduction bonuses, and Curios qualities. Each of these are divided between attributes for each of the damage types available in my modpack (Physical, Magical, Projectile): for example Physical Resistance, Armor Points, Armor Physical Resistance, and Relic Physical Resistance. This makes it vital to not only focus on one aspect of defense, and gives more emphasis on refining your equipment to meet your combat needs.

- Adds reforging support for equipment (armor, weapons, tools, trinkets) that is marked Unbreakable as long as they are under one of my pack's custom tags.

- Adds the "Stone of Renewal" which resets the repair cost of an item that's been enchanted or repair over and over again via the anvil.

- Damage contributions are now tracked per mob killed, so if you do 70% of the damage to an entity and someone else does 30% of the damage to an entity then you will be rewarded with 70% of the "RPG XP" you would have earned if you had killed the mob yourself. The same is applied to the amount of coins you would have gained as well.

That's pretty much it in terms of what this mod provides, if you have any questions feel free to ask in the GrinnsRPG modpack server!
