Grim Soul Industries changelog: 2.1.19 to 2.1.27

2.1.27 — Guide update

  • Guide: the Codex matches the current game. The Soul Forge page covers the 3x3x3 cage build (24 casings with a shaft above) and power from any face. The Reaper Spawner, Reaper Block and Virtualization Chamber pages have the current timings and costs. New pages cover the Loot Dossier, the advancements and their counters, and the rate readouts on each screen.

2.1.26 — Fixes

  • Advancements: the advancement page background is now a Grim Soul texture instead of a missing texture (purple and black squares).

2.1.25 — Advancement frames

  • Advancements: Hundred Hunts is now a normal advancement. Thousand Hunts and Machine Builder are now challenge advancements.

2.1.24 — Counter advancements

  • Counters: each player now has counters for kills and Grim Soul blocks placed. They're saved with the player and kept on death.
  • Advancements: added Hundred Hunts (100 kills), Thousand Hunts (1000 kills, challenge), and Machine Builder (25 Grim Soul blocks placed). Kills by machines don't count toward Hundred and Thousand Hunts.

2.1.23 — Advancements

  • Advancements: added two common advancements: First Blood (kill any mob) and Full Deck (obtain every upgrade card).

2.1.22 — Advancements

  • Advancements: a new Grim Soul Industries tab with 16 advancements. The root is the guide book, then the progression runs through Soul Steel, the Data Core, the Soul Forge, the Reaper Block, the Essence Spawner, the Simulation Chamber, power, and the XP and loot machines.
  • Legendary challenges: Wither Bane (defeat the Wither), Warden's Harvest (defeat a Warden), Dragon's Heir (defeat the Ender Dragon), and Legendary Machinist (place every machine). These are shown as challenges and announced in chat, with large XP rewards.

2.1.21 — Fixes

  • Rendering: the Soul Forge casing, Soul Forge and every machine no longer make the view see-through from the top, bottom, or sides. Machine blocks now skip occlusion, so the faces of neighbouring blocks show through the lattice, lens and glass correctly.

2.1.20 — Maintenance

  • JEI: the Fuel and Soul Forge categories no longer override the deprecated getBackground(); they size themselves with getWidth()/getHeight(), which removes the deprecation warnings.

2.1.19 — Fixes

  • Jade: the Grim Soul machine info option has a name in the Jade settings, so it no longer logs a missing translation.
