Grim Pipe Industries: changelog from 1.4.0 to 1.5.1
Everything that changed since 1.4.0, newest first.
1.5.1 — Screen and text fixes
Every screen was checked in all seven languages and all three styles, at Minecraft's smallest window size.
New
-
Advancements: a Grim Pipe Industries tab with ten advancements. Five everyday ones (First Connection, Hands On, Copy Cat, Picky Eater, Read the Manual) and five legendary ones (Full Spectrum, Soulforged, Wraithbound, Soul Tied, and the challenge Every Flow: hold all five pipe types at once).
-
Field guide: two new pages, Advancements and Looking at Pipes, for 13 pages in total.
-
Smoother glows: the core glow now flows as a continuous wave instead of flickering, and the RGB Omni pipe's rainbow flows smoothly along the pipe.
-
Jade names: Jade shows the real pipe name (Item Pipe, Fluid Pipe, and so on) instead of "Reaper Pipe".
-
Item tooltips wrap: long tooltip lines (speed cards, the Imprint, pipes) ran off small screens. They now wrap.
-
Nothing runs off the screens anymore: titles, subtitles, labels, button text, speeds and the tier name shrink to fit or were shortened, in every language. The Omni pipe's four speed lines and long tier names no longer touch the panel edge.
-
Shorter action-bar messages that fit on a small screen ("Speed cards go in an Input end", "Pipe painted …", "already connected").
-
Energy and chemical Output ends no longer show a stock limit, which only works for items and fluids.
-
Pipe overview: the In/Out cells are translated, and the screen shows the pipe's paint color.
-
Soul Link: breaking one linked pipe now clears the link on the other one, so it no longer says it's linked to a pipe that's gone.
-
Clearer filter words in several languages (Allow / Block instead of Whitelist / Blacklist where those didn't fit).
1.5.0 — New look, paint, stock limits, translations
New look
- Every pipe now has the slate casing of Grim Storage Industries with a glowing core in its own color: Item purple, Fluid blue, Energy red, Chemical green. The glow is full-bright, so it shows at night.
- The Omni pipe glows RGB: a rainbow that flows along the pipe.
- Straight runs are seamless; the core block only shows at corners, junctions and ends.
- New end plates (gold ring = Input, violet ring = Output) and new item icons. Still baked into the chunk mesh: no per-frame cost.
Paint
- Right-click a pipe with a dye to paint it. Pipes of different colors never join, so lines can run side by side. Unpainted pipes join any color; the same dye again removes the paint.
Stock limits
- Output ends get a stock limit: keep at most that many of each item (or buckets of each fluid) in the block. The rest flows on to the next Output. Copied by the Imprint, shown in Jade/WTHIT.
Clearer screens
- Input ends: Redstone and Distribution are now labeled buttons that say their current setting, instead of item icons.
- Long translated labels shrink to fit instead of running off the screen.
Translations
- Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Russian and Simplified Chinese.
